So, I'm tryin out Firefox right now.. first time using another broswer since six years ago when I had Netscape for three days before moving to IE... and so far, I think I will never go back to IE!
I really like how SF looks in this browser...there seems to be a tad more detail... why this is, many of you are more qualified to say, however, so far, I'm kinda impressed. It seems very liberating to be able to escape the MS confines or some such thing.. anyway, any thoughts on browsers ... lay it on down!

5 reasons why Firefox is boss:
- A) Window Tabbing
B) Image Blocking
C) Built-in Popup Stopper
D) It's the official porn browser
E) Using Firefox increases you penis size (just length, not girth)

Sold.
Of course, I'm at work, but I was trusting the link you posted would not be graphic, and thankfully you did not disappoint!!
....that penis size thing... I don't know if that's a good idea though... I wouldn't want to have to upgrade my pant size... it's tough enough trying to find a triple xxx sized front-loading extension... ok..I 'm getting to carried away with this. Next.

Firefox rulezors. End of story. The clear all button is genius. The tabs are really smart and efficient...all the extensions and things make it soo customizable...
I would even {gasp} pay for this if I had to. It has improved my web surfing experience ten-fold.
And NOT just because of the Clear All button....

Firefox rocks the Windows platform. The one thing FF has over the default Mac browser, Safari (for me) is you can save a set of tabs with one command. But Safari looks cleaner. Pretty close.

Safari has some serious efficiency problems. The mt-blacklist admin tool causes my computer to crawl in Safari.. presumably because of the humungo table. I have firefox on the powerbook just for going to that page.

I use both... note that the latest version of IE does all the things you listed..except the penis thing...you're on your own there.
I noticed a few things in Firefox they need to catch up on though. There are certain CSS tags that it doesn't recognize yet. I'm sure they'll fix that in newer versions though.
Firefox has the advantage that not as many spy/virus's have been written for it's exploits. But as it grows more popular... that may change. But until then, surf on.

How long has IE supported tabbed browsing?

The biggest security fix is the fact that Firefox in no way shape or form supports Microsoft Active-X, which allows executable code to run inside a browser - a last ditch effort by Microsoft to create a Java competitor.
Take a look at one of my more recent Internet Explorer hacks that I've been working on (under IE of course - it doesn't work in Firefox). <a href="

since 6
but it's incorperated with the OS... if you'll notice...everytime you open a new browser..it'll open it and place it next to the already open one(s) on the start bar no matter how many applications were opened in between. From there it'll either list them under one 'group' of open browsers or tile them next to each other on the start bar as mentioned. Alt Tab back and forth in between two (which has been possible for years) or Alt Tab down the list. (by holding down Alt and Tab for a wee bit longer)

no it doesn't
yes it does
That is NOT tabbing (although it does use the tab key).
Unless I'm wrong. If I am then sweet, Notepad tabs too!
