Okay, I don't think I ever made one of these posts. I have a silly question.
If you have a cellphone, what's your ring tone?

When somebody calls me mine has a clip from Starfinger's "More Than Soup" ("Get chunky with it!"). I'm betting that one is unique.

QotD: Patsy Cline - Walkin' After Midnight. The tonal quality reminds me of an old am radio.

When you call my cell phone, it rings.

Yeah. It's an antique, I know.

QotD: The intro to "Publish My Love" by Rogue Wave. It's probably fairly rare to have a ring tone in 14/8 time...

QotD: one of those shipped with the phone (you can't define your own polyphonic ringtones). Out of those, the one that stands out the most.

I do have a mobile phone in the house somewhere, but I don't know what it's ring tone is because I don't turn it on - hence I don't think it has ever actually rung.

It depends on who is calling.

I've got an mp3 on my computer which is a short clip I edited from the Sifl & Olly song "Answer the Phone" -- which I have never been unlazy enough to figure out how to transfer onto my phone, so I've never used it.

If you're less lazy or more technically inclined than I am -- you might want to check these, also:

The only ringtone I have set up is for calls from the wife or the house phone -- "Happy Together" (our wedding song) happened to come pre-programmed on my phone so I had to use that one. Otherwise it's just generic ringydingy. Although I almost exclusively have it set to vibrate anyhow.

What the hell's a "cell phone"?

I have a phone that's plugged into my phone jack. If someone wants to talk to me, they can either hope I'm hoome or leave a message and patiently wait for me to return the call :x

I'm kidding, of course. I have a cell phone, but, like CRay, it's never turned on. I think it just has the stock Nokia ringtone (watch the simpsons movie- the part where Homer gets a call from Lenny about the donut shop closing down, that's the tone I mean)... although, I did figure out how to transfer mp3s onto it (it's a complicated thing, involving using the web browser to browse to an mp3 file which it asks you if you want to just save it, etc) and I had 'Radio Hit' by anal cunt as the ringtone for a while. When it was turned on, of course.

I get four kinds of calls:

1. Appointment reminders
2. "Hey fluffy did you get my email? We're going to see a movie tonight"
3. Wrong numbers
4. Parents doing their usual catching-up call

Between the first three (which are the only ones which happen when I'm away from home) I use maybe 10 minutes a month. #4 is about an hour a week, and usually only when I'm at home.

qotd: Unlike you old people, mine's always set to vibrate. It's how the kids do it.

Haha, is that for real? Like, can old people not actually hear it?
