Delicious food weekend, correct?
QotD: If you are doing an Easter dinner, what are you having? If you had a Passover seder, what did you have? If you're not doing any fancy things for food this weekend, what are you eating anyway?
My friend and I both live too far away from our respective homes, so we're cooking an Easter dinner in our dorm. A little half ham, some boiled baby potatoes in herbs and butter and such, canned green beans(she's from the South), corn bread(again, South), honey glazed carrots. Deviled eggs for an appetizer type thing, and then strawberry pie for dessert. Delicious!
Luckily I have a full kitchen in my dorm suite, so we will be cookin' all day. Far too much food for two, but we will have the most delicious left overs for the week.
So what are you eating this weekend?!

Seder had roasted broccoli, some sort of potato crisp thing, matzah ball soup, wine, and yummy chocolate cake. Last night was chicken fajita, and tonight is thai food. Life is good.
I'm heading home tonight to record as my family is sleeping over with their cousins at the in-laws. Very psyched about this.

Hey Roy, I had chicken fajitas last night, too. I wonder if we both looked up at the moon last night at the same time, we would have felt each others Aura?
I'd be all like looking up at the moon, taking a big bite of my fuhgyta and feel something in my pants. I'd be all like, ROY, that's not my Aura, sir!

.......
.......but keep going.

Thank you, I knew that wasn't right. But by that time I had already consumed several vodka tonics and I was feeling like proper spelling didn't apply to me.

Oh, by the way. We're not having a traditional Easter dinner. It's just me, the ball and chain, my two boys and their girlfriend/wife. I asked everyone to pick their favorite dish and I'll make it. I was looking forward to a ham, but no one else was in the mood for ham.
So, here is the menu today:
BBQ jerk chicken - My oldest son
Baby backs - My youngest son
My 12 veg veggie kebabs - My oldest son's gf
My homemade mac and cheese - Youngest son's wife
Jumbo shrimp - The rib
Alcoholic beverages - me
Sides: Jambalaya, cornbread.
Dessert: Cheesecake
It's a smorgasbord. I'm making enough of each so everyone can have a combo plate. Plus, I love leftovers.

I have just been invited to an Easter barbecue. I guess we are having grilled pork chops. I will continue to be a very bad Jew.

DRC: On Dateline, right now, they're doing a story about some guy with my exact name who is some kind of swindler/fake music producer or something. Oh boy.

For Easter dinner I cracked open the grill - it was sunny and just warm enough. I grilled some lamb chops with a rub... garlic, lemon, oregano, etc. and some asparagus with italian seasoning. with the grilling, magic hat ipa. i think grilling is not complete without a beer. then with the dinner, a wine - pedroncelli cabernet sauvignon. very nice. that was just me, m did not partake for obvious reasons.
