QotD: YES.
I get very bad migraines with the scotoma. They don't happen often but when they do, I'm down for the count.

I think so. My mom says I do. But you know, I'm old. I have various kinds of pain. Party on!

This is the same for me, with the aura and everything. Actually, when I was pregnant with my son, I got terrible migraines, and couldn't take migraine medication. I actually was out on medical leave because of them. Don't get them very often anymore though.

I think the aura is the defining characteristic of what makes it a migraine. It's actually the headache part that's not universal (and the scintillating scotoma is fairly rare, and I've only experienced that a couple times myself).
When I felt the migraine coming on earlier today I took some Excedrin and that knocked out the pain but I still had the aura, which is normal for me, and why usually I lie down in a dark room until it passes.

I get hangover headaches. That's about it. But they are getting worse all the time. If I ever stop drinking, that will be the reason.

More water, BLT. More water. It's dehydration. But you know that.

Yeah, I know I need to drink more water. But when I'm in a drinking mood, I tend to drink until I fall asleep. It's a bad habit I need to stop doing. But you're right, when I drink a big glass of water before I go to bed, It helps. I don't get headaches if I only drink 3 or 4 beers or just a few rum and cokes. But when I get in one of those happy moods, every beer tastes better than the last. A few days ago I bought an 18 pack of Coors Light and I drank the whole thing in one night. Then felt like crap the entire next day. THAT's the thing I really need to stop doing.

Good thing you're in tight with the boss, heh.
An asprin (or whatever over the counter pain killer in your medicine cabinet) with that pre-bed glass of water is helpful, too.

You are what you drink, heh. If you buy expensive good-tasting beer you can't afford to drink as much

If I have a drink or two too many I tend to wake up in the night. Then I drink two or three glasses of water just to be safe.

QotD: Yeah, I get migranes from time to time. For me, they're characterized by a very sharp pain concentrated right behind my eyes. Sometimes accompanied by nausea. Ugh.
DRC: Somehow I made it through work yesterday. Really didn't think I would, but somehow the time just passed, and then I was home.

I think that for every beer or drink that you have, you're supposed to replace it with roughly the same amount of water. Maybe Jast can help us out here, but many years ago, when I was stationed in Germany, I recall seeing people mix beer with mineral water. Keeps the fizz, kind of breaking even on the dehydration bit. Sounds alright if you like light beer, I suppose. I usually just top off with water at the end of the night.

See, here in the U.S., we don't even need to water our domestics down.
...
...get it?
...yeah. So how you doing, fluffy?

Coors Lite is mostly water anyway... maybe you're just a lightweight?

Also... YUCK. Buy some real beer fer fucks sake. You probably got a hangover because of all the preservatives and macrobrew chemicals in there.

I drink Coors Light when it's hot out and I want to down some cold ones. It has the same alcohol content as any other domestic. Trust me, I like the good stuff too, but Coors has always been my bread and butter beer, so to speak.

I have 8 characters on that brute game now. A couple of them are actually good too. ^_^
BTW Ray, your character looks pretty neat. Although you REALLY should password protect your character. I could have just made him fight when I checked him out just now (I didn't).

QotD: I don't think so, but I do get horrible debilitating sinus headaches... fun stuff.
