DRC: Wake up everyone! Drink your coffee, take your pills, do whatever you got to do to get rid of your Cinco De Mayo hangover and join me in a QotD! I have the day off from work today which is great because I am on day 6 of my horrible toothache and I don't wanna deal with it with a freakin smile.
QotD: In light of the non-optional challange for the next round of Nur Ein, what has been your favorite collab with a SF'er so far?
I've only collab'd with one SF to this point and that was Posyden. We did 5 songs together as Destruction Enterprise. Ended up with my best SF showing taking a tie for 3rd with Iron Goddess of Mercy (tied with Melvin!). So I guess that was my favorite one.

QotD: definitely IRC BFF. So far I've only done two collabs, but IRC BFF was basically the other collab (Howl Down The Chimney with myself) plus more people, so it's really the only collab I could mention here. Both were fun, of course.

QotD: Zinkline. 3 years of awesome collabs.
(Not to discount all the other fun collabs over the years like TFC, SNY, MSP, Silent E, XTRG, etc. I've been very fortunate to get to work with some awesome people.)

QotD: Haven't done many collabs. But the Tyrrell Corporation cover of Never Tear Us Apart was a lot of fun.

I like all my collabs equally the same. ~BLT 2010

QOTD - I've done a few collabs and am overdue for another. While I've enjoyed them all, I'd have to give a tie to working with BLT many times as he always let me just wank away, and with Glennny, as Odoriferous Valley, as we started the song together here in New Hampshire, and finished it after he had returned to California. But yeah, I've enjoyed them all and need to do some more.

I'd just like to make it clear that Paco is referring to him playing guitar.
....and if there are pictures circulating on the intertubes, those are some other dudes.

Collabs?
Playing keys on Jack's Gonna be Your Man was right up there, cuz I think it was the first.
Did some electronic flute on Ken's Happy Machine Ankle, many a cameo vocal for IRC All-Stars and others. Recent full length vox for BLT and Paco (Rattlesnake) and Sven (Sold Out) were a blast. Mumbo Jumbo with the IRCAS might be my favorite. Not sure. They're all fun!
On-stage performance of Is It Cold with Marcus on guitar at SpudFest might be the best ever. We totally re-invented the song, so I think it counts.

QotD: CHack's Fight the Sea was awesome because I got to record my tracks in person at his place, watching the genius at work. Jim of Seattle wrote a big chunk of Henrietta's MoonShine, and he easily raised the whole tune twenty levels of goodness. Then I wrote a mediocre-at-best "Come Down Where You Ought to Be" on acoustic, and BLT turned it into probably my favorite SF submission of all time ever. So yeah, collabs are pretty cool.

Three come to mind immediately:
1.) My collaboration with Jim of Seattle on "Brown Boxes," which I entered as Jon of New Orleans. I gave him a skeleton of a song, and he fleshed it out into something professional-sounding. He was a blast to work with.
2.) My "Violet Wants it Her Way," which features Glenn Case singing (4-part harmony!) the chorus, and Sven (now Mark) on guitars. To this day, a lot of people still tell me this is their favorite of my songs.
3.) My "House in My Head" featured Eddiebangs on drums. He really knows what he's doing with them skins (and how to record them), which was a major part of this being one of my best-mixed songs ever.

The "I Can See You" I did with Patrick Clayton (submitted as Escapegoat) was my first, and was kind of fun. I really liked producing FAL's "Goodbye Monster" (and playing Godzilla) though. That was a blast.

The best collabs I have been a part of were all the live ones. Nothing compares to the experience of meeting fellow internet geeks and getting up on stage.
However, in terms of recorded net-only collabs, while I have enjoyed mostly all of them and I always love playing music no matter what it is... the funnest one had to have been my tenure with Dreamy Mo. Miss those guys.

late qotd: I missed this post

I've worked with a bunch of you songfighters, and it was a pleasure almost every time. Notable standouts: WreckdoM (tw3rp), Mo, Chris and Heidi (Driving), Plat (Peppermint Patty), Reist and Anti-m (Radio Ready)...
