And how is your weekend of 16-17 of May, 2009?

This evening I met a friend at a karaoke bar. She was already pretty drunk when I got there. I didn't have a chance to sing because she decided it was time for her to go home pretty soon after, and I walked her home (which is a good thing since she seemed pretty wasted, and even fell down a couple times). Then we played with her cat (as in a literal feline, shut up BLT) and talked for a bit and then I went home.
qotd: Do you ever find yourself in the company of people who are far more intoxicated than yourself?

Fluf, it sounds like you were a perfect gentleman. It's not right to take advantage of a girl if she had too much to drink, but it's perfectly acceptable to pet her kitteh a little.
QotD: Sometimes.

QOTD: Often. We went to a karaoke bar last night, too. I think I am slowly warming up to the whole karaoke thing. (In other words, hating it a bit less each time I am dragged along.) Unfortunately Erin may have shot her voice and we still need to record our Nur Ein track.

DRC: another Sunday morning rolls around, and once again, I barely even have a start on my Nur Ein! entry. Humbug.
qotd: it's not very often that other people become more intoxicated than me. This morning, however, I woke up to 3 text messages from a friend: (who just moved to a new place 4 days ago)
3:45 - hey Wher do ii livee

QOTD - Not very often, and I rarely drink myself. This usually results in near complete slobberization on my part when I do, though. if anyone saw the drunken post I made a few weeks ago, wherever that was, you'll see what I mean.

Rarely? I've never tried that. But I do indulge in alcoholic beverages quite often.

Commas are important.

Ha! Why yes, they are. While I'm certain that on most days I probably taste pretty good, I don't know that I'll try to drink myself. Whatever that may actually involve. Next topic, please.

It happens every time someone challenges me to some sort of drinking competition.

You probably eat a lot of pineapple. I hear that helps.

DRC: I've
mentioned in the past my friend who hosts biweekly board game get-togethers at his house. Tonight, we play-tested a game that was developed by one of the regulars. The players were supposed to be playing robot characters, and some random comment one of us made caused the developer's wife to say something to the effect of "That just makes me think of 'Happy Machine Ankle.' "
At this, my wife and I both snapped up to attention. "Did you just say '
Happy Machine Ankle?' "
Turns out, they're friends with
Seth, aka
Brother Machine, and were familiar with Songfight, and many of the fights from that era. Small world, eh? Apparently, he still lives here in Austin, but no longer records much of his own music. Owns a studio down here. They told me the name of the studio, but I'm afraid I've forgetten it.
QotD: I used to a lot in college, but my friends these days are much better at moderation.

qotd: no, I'm usually the drunken moron. I have no control, not to mention I'm a bit of a lightweight.
