Anyone hear anything about this? Notifications were supposed to be sent by July 1.

Nope. I guess we didn't make the cut.

I received this e-mail today:

"Dear Crimson Grail applicants,

Thank you for your application to participate in Rhys Chatham's A Crimson Grail at Lincoln Center Out of Doors.

We have had an overwhelming response this year, with a tremendous number of new applicants this year, in addition to the returning guitarists from last year--well more than half of the participants from last year's rained-out staging of this performance are returning this year.

Your name has been added to our "backup list." If we do have additional positions come open between now and the week of rehearsals, we will contact you offering the open spot in hopes that you are still interested and available to participate.

We do appreciate your interest in taking part in this event. Please understand that due to the tremendous number of people involved in this production, we ask that you not respond to this as we will not have the opportunity to address each individual email.

We hope to see you there on August 8th one way or another.
