I was feeling creative and have been waiting on the title.
Not crazy about the title... but I think my dad, a relatively intelligent man, has seen the movie 'in plane site' and is leaning towards the conspiracy theory. I'm both intrigued and saddened by this.

Boys and girls, the word of the day is "incendiary."
And Ford's Theater Disaster is bringing the kerosene.

"Oh there was thermite dust in the foundations
Dubya never made an appearance"
This'll be interesting...

And if you add 911 + 911 you get 1822! OMG! I forget why this is important!!! IT MUST BE TRUE. CALL YOU PARENTS!!!!

Both sides of any argument that are extremists are funny. Does that sentence make sense? Ha!

About as much as "There are no absolutes."

Well, assuming I can record my vocals without sounding like a tool, this should be a good fight for me. I got an interesting reggae/hip hop song in the works for it.

I'm in, as is becoming usual. Going to try to throw in as many instruments as I can this week so I can learn how to mix.
Sadly I am going to dodge all conspiracy theory in my interpretation, because otherwise I would really look like an idiot, knowing as little as I do about American politics...

Nice weather in PEI, but no recording equipment at the cottage so I can't join in on this one. A shame, it's right up my alley.

Yeah, you're over qualified. Good call.

predictably we wrote a song that is in 9/8 and 11/8 for the verses. I'm quite fond of our ridiculous prog-pop tune. We'll see how the recording progresses.

Is that predictable?
Anyway, I've written something. Might not finish it, much less get a finished recording in time, but we'll see.

Hunting for a good lyric? It seems my brain is either particularly inspired or bored during my time off this week.

It pains me, but I have to cash in several years of SF credibility to make a complaint I've never made before:
This title is offensive and stupid.
No accusations of malice or callousness, and yes I have a sense of humor. But damn, did you have to go there?

At least the song wasn't "Molested at Neverland Ranch"

Is it? So!?!?
Then it obviously calls for a stupid and offensive song. The world can never have too many of those.
TISM made a whole career out of it.

Mostess: I'm inclined to agree. I'm not anxious to add a song with that title to my repertoire, even if the song itself makes an argument that better reflects my opinions. It would be bad business for me to attach my name to a song with that title. If I get an idea (and time to record it), I might submit under a pen name though. It is definitely intriguing to try and work out a satisfying piece of work from a starting point so personally off-putting.

I'm not fond of this title, though I've often thought "Write a song espousing a viewpoint or opinion with which you disagree" is a good exercise. I think it's what Tyrell just mentioned that I'm finding so offputting; it's not just a wild viewpoint in the song - it's right there in the title.
I thought up a hook, but it's not tied very tightly to the title. I think I'll save it for later.

Tasteless. I'm in.
(Shall I ask why people are so offended? Is it cos msot Americans are still cutely naive about the fact that politicians are with few exceptions complete shits? Do I care?)
