Was that "hand-shot" as annoying as it is in other movies?

I formed the opinion before becoming drunk though. I had high expectations for this movie, and it was better than that.
If "hand-shot" bugs you, that will be an issue, although I felt it was done in better taste than say, Cloverfield.

Just saw it last night and I really liked it. Right when it started I thought, ah damn, I hate these news report looking movies. Then the second worst thing was subtitles for the aliens. But I quickly became so into the movie, it didn't matter. Because lets face it, we don't speak alien, how else are we going to know what they are saying? Then it just got better and better from there. Plus it had a nice story of friendship and father/son moments. It could be easily compared to racism and prejudice in the world and how it spins out of control so easily.
I give it 4 stars. *****
