well this threads kind of gone to hell!
still, it had a good run, over 2 years. maybe the title should be changed to "Almost Daily Roll Call"
drc: i'm getting ready to go to lunch. i have a tendency to eat alot of fast food for lunch, which isn't healthy. every now and then, i treat myself to a sizzler lunch. they have a pretty good steak/salad/drink lunch special for about 8 bucks. no they aren't paying me.
if i had my choice, i'd eat sushi for lunch everyday.
qotd: what's for lunch?

Somehow I ended up eating lunch at McDonald's today. I had not realized how terribly salty it all is now (has it always been this bad?). Now I feel like I'm going to die of hypertension.

I had 2 slices of pizza. A rare event for me but it was yummy.
Tomorrow I leave for 10 days in Israel. Totally ready for a wild trip. Some archeology, some family, some rafting in Jordon, some insane hot desert stuff, so old city religious connectivity, some yummy food (not pizza) and the dead sea. I will likely miss the Nothing Is Everything debate and vote, but will return renewed and inspired to make more noise!

Yes, if I could pick anything, I'd probably have sushi a few days a week.
Today, however, it is leftover lentil curry over rice.

We had left over chili from last night. Deeeelicious. Tonight we're doing a big roast turkey dinner. The whole house currently smells like Christmas.
I start my new University in 2 days; ahhhhh!

i do love me some boston though. probably only place i'd really want to live on the east coast. you can get a lobster roll at mcdonalds. i love that. and i'm still a sox fan after many years. love the common, the T. man, i love boston.
when i was growing up in new hampshire as a kid, we used to call people from massachusetts "massholes". do they still do that? jim tyrrell, you still around? paco?

DRC: The air conditioner is broken.
QotD: The only thing I brought to work was a peanut butter & jelly sandwich (been that way for two weeks now). I was considering going out to supplement that, but opted against it. I later found out that there was a car crash right outside my workplace that held up the lunch hour traffic badly.
If I had my druthers, I'd have sushi more often, too. There's a pretty affordable sushi place here called Zen, but I still don't want to go there more than once every couple of weeks.

I use "Masshole" to refer to someone who participates in
Critical Mass.

QOTD: today I met my wife at work for lunch - we went to Daphne's a sort of fast food greek place. I had the gyro with fire fries (spicy feta topping.
DRC: TOday I was a total slug, but I finally sat down to play Splinter Cell Double Agent. I know it's old - but it's new to me. Damn I love splinter cell, I just wish I could get my house darker during the day.

If I recall correctly Bjam has left Boston to join a Travelling Rodeo Acadamy in Nashville or Tamworth or somewhere......or something like that anyway, my memory is very feeble nowdays.
The grocery store across the road from my office sells ready made curry in little tubs you can take back and heat up in the office microwave. Beef roganjosh. Good.

DRC: I spent a lot of today running around to different job sites for meetings, and I needed to check my e-mail which leads to QOTD: I stopped at Caffe Ladro to use their wi-fi and had a quiche.
EDIT: Oh, and RE: "Masshole," Your character can earn a Masshole t-shirt in Rock Band 2...

I knew a woman from Boston that had a Masshole bumper sticker on her car.

So if NASA discovers that there is actually intelligent life on the nearest planet to us - can we call them Marseholes?

i guess people on uranus don't have a nickname. their planet's name is bad enough. or maybe they call themselves myanus.
i guess we've been known as californicators by those north of us (washington and oregon). santa cruz gets stigmatized for being overly idealistic, anti business, full of granola eating, tree hugging, lazy, slacker, trustrafarians, in fact, that's a pretty accurate picture.

The only people that (non-Auckland) New Zealanders hate more than Australians - are people from Auckland.
Or as it is more commonly known south of the Bombay Hills - Dorkland.
Back home in Queensland we refer to anyone from the southern states as cockroaches - because they are pests that come up through the floorboards and invade our home.

Caravan Ray was right. I've left Boston in favour of Nashville where I'll be going to Belmont University(Brad Paisley and a bunch of famous country musicians graduated from there -- ooh la la!) for Entertainment Industry Studies. Very excited. They have an Audio Engineering Technology degree, so I'm hoping I'll be able to take a class or two in recording stuff. Plus I get to do internships! And study abroad(possibly in Melbourne, ooh la la!).
And lobster rolls at McDonalds? Whaaaat. I have never heard of that. But I only went to one McDonalds and it was pretty crappy and I went maybe 3 times during the year I was there. I'm going to miss Boston though. I have much love for the T, and the Boston Commons is pretty much the best place to study in the world. But Nashville? Naaaaaaaaashville!
(Tomorrow is the start of the county fair near my parents' house. Friday is the goat show. Also monkey jockeys(!!!). Next week includes hog-a-rama, the lamb show, mule pulling, and many more; which I will sadly miss since I'll have gone to uni by then. I am so excited to see a goat show.)
