Is there a FAQ? What is G&G?

Okay, this isn't quite MUSIC help (not that I don't need it, and I see plenty in the reviews), but I need to know.
I've seen G&G in reviews of my entry, but can't figure it out. I've googled and stuff and didn't find it, I presume it means something like acoustic guitar and singer, but that doesn't tell me exactly what G&G is.
FWIW, another board I'm on has a "dictionary" of words and acronyms specific to the board, as well as those common in the field:

Or is this more of an "Alice in Wonderland" or "Adventure" type board where one discovers many of the rules and customs by experiment and experience?

G&G = Guy & Guitar.
Do you want more details than that?

Synonomous with solo-acoustic, but generally meant in a more deragotory way around here.

It means you're a lazy fucking prick who can record a song in as much time as it takes to listen to it and no one gives a shit because any idiot with half a brain can play a guitar and mumble some dumb shit 14 year old girl's emo poetry. You might think you're top shit because you're a way cool musician but what are you contributing; basic boring as bat shit structure, melody, progression.. (that anyone with two weeks of guitar lessons can do), guitar which you are only using as a backing track for whatever retarded words you think people need to hear and you had better be a fucking brilliant lyricist if you want to keep at G&G, and if you think you are you are deluded, and poorly performed vocals because it doesn't matter if you can sing or not because you own a guitar and because of that you think you deserve to have everyone on the internet waste their time listening to whatever rubbish you've thrown at them. Rate your skills as a guitarist, vocalist and lyricist out of 10. If it doesn't add up to at least 24 then why bother. G&Gers are hardly rare.

All very true - but still....the chicks all love a guitar man.
....Hi ladies. I'm Ray. Sure, I can play some James Blunt songs. Would you like a little Jack Johnson too? ..of course you would....
BTW - it is probably time both of us changed our avatars. Who do you reckon is hotter? Julia Gillard or Christopher Pyne?
..and BTWBTW: Your account of G&G is spot on. I have not yet heard Mr Benbradley who asks the question (so this is no reflection on him) - but the sad truth is that there are very few Woody Guthries, Billy Braggs or Ross Durands in the world. And far too many James Blunts and Jack Johnsons....and much, much worse.

Christopher Pyne - he gives me wood. I am happy with Mal but I think you could do with a change, I've already forgotten the guy's name (I think it is Grug something)
Here's a good picture of Pyne
or you could take Brisbane's K-Rudd and I'll switch to Melbourne's Julia Gillard. but I am the one who copied you in the first place so whatever you change to I'll go along with it.
This is as interesting to everyone else as another G&G song.
