One of my favorite songs taken to another level. I've seen that great clip, and heard of him, but don't possess any of his material. If I could magically be a real hot-shot guitar player, it'd be in that style versus some metal thing. Great stuff.

Is that a b-bender tele? What's all that stuff behind the tailpiece?

I don't know what the stuff behind the plate is, it's hard to see. Palm benders for strings would be around there, but that doesn't look like it. He does a neato behind the nut bend near the end, but doesn't appear to be manipulating levers and what-not. Hmm. I dunno.

Well a B-bender is some how linked with levers to the strap bolt near the neck on the body. I don't think he uses it on this tune- but that guitar looks like it might be one.

You can see the guitar much better in the licks and tricks vids. I'll let you guys analyze it there:

Not looking at viddys yet, but I have a tele with B-bender. There are several kinds. There are ones that strap to your belt, ones that are a Bigsby made palm lever, and the type I have, Parsons-White, that are a big old lever tucked away in a route in the back of the guitar. These are operated by pushing down on the strap lock, raising the B string a whole step. The frst example of a tune I used it on here was the lead in "Big Success", but it''s made many an appearance. Mebbe I'll bust it out this week!
