Not that there's anything wrong with rap per se, but holy cow is that genre massively overrepresented lately.

For reals. I have been resisting the urge to post snarky comments/thread complaining about it. But not any more! We need to get some jocks in here to deal with all these nerds.

is there some way to fine MC Frontalot for every crappy nerdcore act that finds this site and enters a fight because of him?
in the intoduction page, every time i read someone's intro that says "i found this site through mc frontalot", i just cringe. you can usually tell who the frontawannabe's are from their user names.

Give 'em a bunch of shit in the reviews threads. They'll get better or go home.

Actually, I'm listening to Dale Chase's song, and that guy's not half bad. Phew!

I fall under the 'Get better' part, Fluffy.

And I don't see why we should rebel against a genre just because we don't personally enjoy it.

I didn't say rap sucks or that I dislike it, I'm just a bit annoyed at how overrepresented it is vs. other genres lately, especially since most of the rap that is submitted here is not particularly good by any stretch of the imagination. Much of it seems to just be someone-else's-looping-bed (or even full arrangement) with no actual musical skill involved. If people want to do a poetry slam, that's fine, but they should at least do it to music they wrote.

Oh man, nothing personal against him, but at least MC Eric B isn't submitting every week anymore. A song of his just came up on archive shuffle and I realized I had mercifully forgotten all about his raps.

CRay and I are going to collab on a song as soon as the title is posted. They you'll see what KICK ASS ROCK AND ROLL is all about. Yes, yes you will.

Maybe if we all write country-and-western songs for a few rounds, they'll go away.

This song might have had something to do with Eric's departure.

On a side-note - for every rock tune I enter from this point forth, I vow to enter two nerdcore raps.

I do have to say though, they are giving 'good' rap some credit. They make it look hard.
