In the center of Lahaina
Down on Front street by the sea
Near the old Lahaina courthouse
Is a special place to me

Many years ago I went there
And by luck I chanced to see
A sublime young lady sitting
Underneath the banyan tree

She came there seeking shelter
From the harsh Hawaiian sun
And the moment that I saw her
I knew she was the one

I took one look at her
And she took one look at me
Then and there we fell in love

The days flew by without care
