So, we have some dates. We have venues confirmed. There may yet be some minor changes to some details but it would be great to start figuring out who is coming and who intends to perform. (We should probably save the "where will you be staying" and "what gear are you bringing or do you need" info for threads dedicated to those topics.)

I'll go first! I will be there. I will probably try to get Erin to participate in an acoustic Merisan set. Berkeley Social Scene intends to play a full band set as well.

Anybody else?

EDIT: I'll try to build up the list of bands and performers. If I get it wrong for your band or performer name, let me know.

Confirmed:
Merisan
Berkeley Social Scene
Ken's Super Duper Band 'n' Stuff
sockpuppet
frankie big face
Naked Philosophy
Octothorpe
Kasper
The John Benjamin Band
brody
ADD Music
Minty Handy
Jon Eric
Roymond
Jonathan Mann
The Seamus Collective

Maybe:
Primitive Screwheads
Ken Flagg
The Bourbon Drops

Want to, but it might just be in a supporting (or extremely stripped down) capacity.

If I remember correctly, you have experience hauling gear for these type of shows.

A bit of backstory: we're trying to decide whether to do three nights (Submission, SoCha, Mojitos) or two (Submission or SoCha, Mojitos). We basically have until tomorrow to book Submission for reals (they've been extremely patient with us), and we're trying to figure out which way we should go.

Submission and SoCha are both all-ages, and both serve alcohol. The Submission time slot would be fixed to exactly 4 hours (with a 1-hour sound check), whereas the SoCha time slot is a lot more flexible (although it has to end at 11). SoCha is a lot like the Empyrean in terms of size, and they want us to stick to "acoustic with light amplification" (although they allow drums - I see jazz ensembles there all the time).

SoCha charges no cover. Submission does charge a cover, as well as a (small) booking fee (which they pay back out of the cover).

If we don't get back to Submission very soon with the booking fee, we lose the opportunity, so really it comes down to: do we want/need three nights, and if not, does our first night need to be horrifically loud?

My personal feeling here is that we only really need SoCha + Mojitos, but there might be enough people who feel otherwise that we should book Submission ASAP.

SoCha + Mojitos should be sufficient, imho.

So the Giants are playing a 4 day home stand against the Mets July 15-18. Anyone want to check out a ballgame during some off time?

there's also the poor man's cheap option of watching the game from behind the right field fence (where it's free) or seats can be gotten as cheap as $14.

Giants are very good this year, with 2 potential Cy Young pitchers (Zito and the Freak). And ATT Park is an AWESOME ball park.

Hell, I might too. I haven't been to a baseball game in years, and I work right by the ballpark!

Based on what fluffy posted above, I'd have to agree with this assessment.
