Glad I'm out. I really do not like that challenge. It seems so pointless.

I'm going to take out the word "extended". I don't know where we picked that word up since the idea come up in the judging forum.

As long as we have some acrostics in there, it should be fine. I only said throughout the song because doing just an acrostic chorus or one acrostic verse probably wouldn't suffice. Though I don't know if my fellow judges would agree with that statement.

So do a song. Include an acrostic. Run with the challenge how you see fit. We aren't gonna hold your hand on this one. Let's see some creativity.

Without meaning to hold hands, I agree. The idea was to incorporate acrostics or an acrostic throughout and to avoid the possibility of some doing just one acrostic for just the first four lines or whatever and assuming they had met the challenge.

My song for this round is both longer than my usual fare, and uses a single acrostic for the entire song with no exceptions. I challenge you all to do the same.

however this is an optional challenge

There's a judging forum? Do you guys have, like, nicer colors and fonts? And a wet bar?

Seriously don't think I'm going to make this one. Music is complete but drawing a complete blank on lyrics. :(

Ihope you'll get something in, chris. I can't help but feel like the winner of this ein would have to have an asterisk if you went out this early due to a non-submit, just based on your consistent rankings in rounds so far.

I've got a tune written, but I just don't see the point. Maybe I'll be in, maybe I won't.

Reist and Chris: DO IT!

Chris, some of my best songs have contained lyrics that were scrawled off in the moments before recording them - and one of my best has a bridge that was literally improvised during the vocals recording. Yes, that's a first take in the final recording. The moral of the story: even if you have to scribble something down just to barely meet the challenge, you might find yourself pleasantly surprised with the end result.

Reist, what do you mean you don't see the point? Do you mean you don't see the point in the challenge, or you don't see the point in entering songs? If it's the challenge, then see my above comment to Chris. If it's the competition itself, then I can't really help you through your existential crisis, but I would encourage you to have a listen to these songs, followed immediately by a listen to this one, and then tell me whether all this competition hasn't been worth something to you.

Besides, I'd much rather beat y'all fair and square. :P

I'm screwed. I'm trying to make a song work that is not working. If I don't pull it together here pretty quick, I'm going to have an unnatural disaster as my submission.

It's the bizarro-Nur Ein Round, where all the talented people are struggling, and I've finished everything except the vocal tracks already. WTF.

I put my nose to the grind stone after my above post, and revamped the layout to one I'm better at. It worked. I just have to redo all the bass and do vocals.
