Hardly a Moment
by Jon Eric

Now I know what my face looks like when I'm with her
Do all the laugh lines all around your eyes make everything a blur?

Hand in hand / Strong fights
Badlands / Long nights
You can / wrong rights
But I will hold her like you used to
Yes I will hold her like you used to

Now I don't know how she'll react to it, if I leave
But since you made that hard decision, it's hard to breathe

I try / to be there
Why fly? / It's not fair
She cries / and I swear
That I will hold her like you used to
I'll try to hold her like you used to

Hardly a moment goes by when I don't hear
The tremor in her voice / How could you make that choice?
Hardly a moment goes by when I don't feel
A little less alive / Don't know how you survived
It feels so familiar until your instincts kick in
You're so at home and the moment is gone
We've got our cross to bear / You've got your loss

I know you always do what's best for you, when push comes to shove
But I don't get how you could break the heart of someone you claim to love

I try / to be there
Why fly? / It's not fair
She cries / and I swear
That I will hold her like you used to
I'll try to hold her like you used to
Yes, I will hold her like you used to
I will hold her like you used to

This is hardly a moment I'll remember forever
This will not be the point where old becomes new
This will not be a first or a best or a last
Only a detour as I'm passing through
Though I understand...
It may mean more than that to you.

Summer nights, winter days,
Brilliant colors, muted greys,
One who goes and one who stays.

Played by ear, played to form,
Gentle rain, thunderstorm
One growing cold, one growing warm.

(chorus 2x)

The Affirmative Mention - Hardly a Moment (Capo 4th)

VERSE 1 (Am7-G-E7)
it's easy to sit, from the back of a fence
too high to see past and say, 'oh yeah if it were me'
laying judgments on the bed like a maid

Yes, please fluff the pillows, and please massage our egos
but don't expect a tip, it's such a small bump
that the road forgets, and it will soon fade

CHORUS (C-E7-Am7-F)
it may take a shot in the eye
running down the crack of your lip
to see the show won't go on
and forget all the money spent

and the people who spent it
the rose colored can't believe it
hardly a moment goes by
that they don't try

VERSE 2
somehow it seems, I can't get past the memory of
what just happened, in my proximity
everyone around feels the same way, we wanna break things
but there's nothing left to break

CHORUS (C-E7-Am7-F)
it may take a shot in the eye
running down the crack of your lip
to see the show won't go on
and forget all the money spent

and the people who spent it
the rose colored can't believe it
hardly a moment goes by
that they don't try

INSTRUMENTAL

CHORUS 2 (C-riff-F?)
it may take a shot in the eye
running down the crack of your lip
to see the show won't go on
and forget all the memories spent

and the people who spent it
the rose colored can't believe it
hardly a moment goes by
that they don't try

OUTRO JAM: F-G-Am7

I had hardly a moment to get a song done
So I took thirty seconds to record this one

Hardly a moment goes by that I dont think of you
and not a day goes by where that isn't true
and i regret never telling you that I love you
more than the ground below or the stars up above you
but its too late now at least i think probably
so im making this song not for you but me
to remind me everyday of the mistake that i made
so that i learn to live life to the fullest everyday

not quite as though I was gonna die tomorrow
but if maybe a week was all i had have left to borrow
then I would tell everyone how I felt about them
and a week is hardly a moment
so i better own it

short and sweet with an abrupt ending. Just the way I like my raps sometimes

Hardly A Moment

By Steve Durand

It's the kind of situation
That could happen any day
Rinding on the train
And running late

As we reached the station
I gathered up my things
Ready to run
When we hit the gate

I was rushing out the door
As you were coming in
Our eyes met and our hands brushed
As we passed

It was hardly a moment
But it seemed like so much more
And although we may never meet again

Hardly a moment goes by
That I don't see you
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't feel you

This chance encounter
Keeps replaying in my head
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't want you

Would things be different
If I'd stopped to say hello
Instead of rushing off
Pell-mell

It makes me wonder
Would I be with you right now
Instead of watching TV
By myself

Maybe that's what happened
In a different universe
With which we're somehow
Intertwined

It was hardly a moment
But it felt like so much more
'Cause although I don't even know your name

Hardly a moment goes by
That I don't see you
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't feel you

That chance encounter
Keeps replaying in my head
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't miss you

Hardly a moment goes by
That I don't see you
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't feel you

The memory of you
Is forever in my head
And hardly a moment goes by
That I don't need you

Hardly a Moment
Bella D's Mellodies

lyrics by Annabella Dulcinea Phillips (age 5)

Why can't I have a big flower balloon?
No i don't want it (Django)

I only for a moment got to see the flowers
I only for a moment got to see the flowers
Why can't we go back?
Why can't we go back?
(to) where i always wanted

Why Why can't I have a bouquet of flowers?
Oh yeah
Why Why can't I have a bouquet of flowers?
oh yeah

Hardly a moment

Oh baby

Oh my goodness it's the the next level
Why can't I have chocolate cake?
Why can't I have hardly a moment?

I only for a moment got a sip of chocolate
I only for a moment got a sip of chocolate
why couldn't we
why couldn't we
why couldn't we make a chocolate cake for longer?

Why Why can't I have a bouquet of flowers?
Oh yeah
Why Why can't I have a bouquet of flowers?
oh yeah

Hardly a moment

I'm there right now

Cock - Hardly A Moment (Ujn Hunter & R. Mosquito)

Despondent eyes on empty walls
Malevolent time
I let it pass me by
Not this time

The knell of my departed hours
The waining day too short for
my distress
Creeping dread
burning inside

Curse time’s fickle glass that breaks me down
I wondered in... the moment before I died
A moment until we die
Oh oh oh oh

Apparitions and empty shades
Foretelling of endless comfort’s
soft conceit
panics me

This frame shall fall into the dust
and with it everything I’ve
never done
All undone

You can not turn back the hands of time
Time who despoiled my former self
We weep and cling to the dead weight as the
curtain’s falling

Curse time’s fickle glass that breaks me down
I wondered in... the moment before I died
A moment until we die
Oh oh oh oh
Pent beneath the moon in which we drown
I hardly lived... a moment before I died
In hardly a moment’s time
everything goes
black

Pillar of Paprika - "Hardly a Moment"

by The Idiot Kings and Heuristics Inc.

in hardly a moment
i see you, still through the haze
in a picture that perfectly recalls
the clear view of the murderer’s gaze

i knew i’d have to go
wherever they tried to hide you
with another name
i’d leave my new home to find you

a flash of light and splash of blood,
i feel like i’m in a film noir

as much as they think you’re too far away,
i know that they’re wrong

i may not know your new name or old
or where it is they have you wait
but i know that i can find you, be it
boston, palatka, or monterey

when i think of a year to come,
it still feels so long

as much as i think that it’s too far away,
i know that i’m wrong

in hardly a moment,
another year is gone,
i feel like i’m in a film noir

This Was Hardly a Moment
Josh Millard

You're staring deep in my eyes
You think you're gonna hypnotize me
Like some magic's gonna happen
If you sit real still and stare at me
And smile at me and glare at me
And put on all the faces that your magazines
Convinced you were
The trick to make me care

But darling
There's no there there

Yeah this was hardly a moment
What this was was an uncomfortable pause
Yeah that wasn't us clicking
That's just the sound that teeth make
When someone clenches their jaws

This was just you saying yes
And me saying no
And that's the way it goes sometimes
I'll be as clear as can
Darling I'm hardly your man
And this was hardly a moment

You gotta shake this misconception
You can't pull some sly inception
You can't trick us into being
Something other than we are
Cuz this is all we'll ever be
Single you and single me
Disjoint sets named A and B

Now
Step away from the car
