Eh, this one's not talking to me. Then again, neither did "The Middle Part," so who knows what I'll do? I'm crazy!

I have ideas. No idea if I'll actually get it done, as the semester has started.

I submitted some album art for "The Rumor Lives Strong"...my art account was still open.

My last submission was about 5 years ago, after that things got crazy at work, got married, and had two kids.

Apologies to King Arthur if I stepped on your toes. It looks like you have a series going on. I didn't mean to interrupt your crop of featurings.

Nice art! I'm glad I'm not the guy who has to choose between these two submissions.

Anyway, only one out of three of those rumors is demonstrably true. ;)

Hoglen and I have an idea for this, already wrote the lyrics and melody, so we're recording tonight. I hope it goes well! Let's just say that lyrically, it doesn't seem to be an obvious choice, but that's just the rumor.

Thought I was going to take a week off to recuperate a little, but a goddam idea crawled into my head this morning so I think I'm in. Turns out it's a country song, that should be a fun change of pace from the LOUD FAST ARGLEARGLEARGLE stuff I've submitted so far. We'll see if I can fake up some pedal steel with overdubs on my Casino.

finally came up with something, recorded it, but the converter i use seems to be effing with the vocals, so i'm gonna mess with it some more and see if i can get it right before submitting. if not you may have to bear with a sub-par vocal track. Are you allowed to submit a .wav rather than a .mp3?

You might, however, ask around the community and see if anyone else is willing to lend their .mp3 converter of choice to your cause.

Our song is recorded. Now I'm trying to add in some finishing touches. Some special finishing touches. Let's say, kind of like a tribute. It will all not be clear soon.

i got it sounding like a million times better, still has a weird warble in it that sounds like the entire thing is going through a weird chorus/echo thing, and it's not there on the .wav but oh well. hopefully, it makes up for the shoddy recording by being a halfway decent song.

Are you converting a verified good .wav file to .mp3, or exporting from the DAW? Might be a difference between two files you think are the same.
Otherwise, since I don't know much about this kind of stuff, I have some suggestions:
1) disable your dithering function or correct any incorrect settings therein
2) convert the master to 44.1KHz sample rate (if it is higher) before conversion to .mp3, and
3) make sure it's 16 bit
I'm not sure, but some encoders might introduce modulation artifacts when converting sample rate, bit depth and format at the same time, especially with dithering.

i think it was the chorus i had on one vocal track interacting with the compression on another, and it just made my voice really nasal and weird, but it was definitely exaggerated after i converted it. i think this was the 44.1kHz problem you spoke of. so i fixed that but i still didn't like it. so i remixed the tracks with different effect settings and it seems to have corrected itself. i use a really really basic recording program, so unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of options when it comes to exporting the file. i don't even know what dithering is, but ill try and find an option if there is one. either way, i got it to where i am happy with it. honestly, i should have totally re-done the vocal tracks, but i busted my headphones, and it's exhausting singing that long...and im lazy. you guys are awesome, and thank you for all the help. i think you will enjoy it.

Hoglen and Wages are in with some experimentalness.
