Left-handed guitarists

Is anyone out there a southpaw, goofy footer or sinister cack-hander?
My wife is. She wants to learn how to play guitar. Should she:
Play a left-handed guitar like Paul McCartney
Play a right-handed guitar with re-arranged strings left-handed like Jimi Hendrix
Play a right-handed guitar upside down left-handed like Bob Geldoff,
Play a right-handed guitar right-handed like Paul Simon, or
Something else?

I can't believe that Paul Simon is a left-hander who plays right-handed.

I've got the devil's hand... and I play guitar (not like I can play it or anything!) or maybe I should say I play bass (which is still considered a guitar, no?) right handed... like everyone else. If she feels comfortable playing right handed... she'll be better off in the long run... some lefties just can't do it though.

I'm pretty much exclusively left-handed but I make an exception for guitar-playing.

It appears he plays a LH guitar
I am thinking buying one of these for her:
