gonna comment on first listen this time... cause im bored, and i havent listened to any but my own.

rev and pineapples: last thing first i want one big hit at the end. it was great, but it left me hanging. other than that it was great! it was simple to the point, i couldnt hear the bass on my laptop so i plugged in the headphones, much better. the only other thing i can say is that the difference between the two vocal tracks adds a cool effect but it kinda made me dizzy. i think they are too different and might tighten it up a bit if it were me. but i like it a lot.

Suckweasel: i feel like i wanna cover this song. you do almost everything i wish i could do perfectly. the only gripe i have with this song is quite a few missed/strained notes in the singing, which is hard to get right... so awesome job

duffey westlake: at first the progression sounds really weird, and too long. but when you start to sing it all makes sense. i love the "crashing cars on the floor" line... makes me smile. with your voice and music style it sounds like ben folds, and it's hard for me to get past that. the loud, distorted guitar helps tremendously. i like the song a lot, but i think it needs something unique to make you stand out from a lot of other people who sound generally the same to me.

unexpected bowtie: i like it, but there is one string that is open, or the same note playing over and over and over again, and it takes my attention away from everything else. when i zone that "drone" out i really like it. it reminds me of me and buddies rocking out on the mandolins.

billys little trip: yeah... pretty much what the song of this title was meant to be. as soon as i heard te first riff i was hooked. words are great, the music kicks butt, the solo rips. good job. the vocals arent perfect, but who cares.

mc horse and the handlers: i love the hook. the first 16 bars were a kinda weak. 2nd 16bars were bad ass. 3rd was pretty good, way better than the first, but not as good as the 2nd. the beat was slick, the bass was good, and i like the busta mix. good, but for some reason the first rap just ground my gears... maybe the pokemon reference, i dunno.

6:00 heart attack: i like the music a lot, maybe a little too much high end on the acoustic. the melody of the lyrics is good, but i think the words are a little cheesy. totally my opinion. the breakdown at the end is super cool.

dj superstar satan: ok, im getting the crashing cars with the horns and such which is cool, but where are the stars? after listening that i think you should do is when the beat stops around the middle and there is that mash up of samples, what you need is the "get a star" sound from mario brothers, and then kick it double time!

bad boys at bat mitzvahs: well after scrapping what i started too early, i still liked the idea of doing a song in 10/4. so i put down a few starter tracks, basically the two single note tracks you hear in the background. i tried to write some good lyrics, but none were coming to me, so i took king arthurs awesomely donated lyrics and tweaked em to fit. its a little monotonous, but when recording there is actually like 10 mins of spacey jam out soloing (by my good pal bb) that is condensed into what you hear here. i figure it to go at the end of an album, and just go out into nothing like 14 mins later. you all didnt need to hear all the rest of it.

the hate noise: at the beginning i was worried it was to be another quiet hate noise song. pleasantly surprised when the screaming began. kick ass tune dude. you seem to like writing about B&Es, and other acts of thievery... i find it amusing. you have good control over the layering of your vocal tracks where it sounds fucked up but perfect, i need to learn to do that.

the chadderandom abyss: oh man. i dont know what to say. that's the craziest mess ive ever heard that legitimately sounded like it could possibly be called music. you are awesome for pulling that off.

steve durand: great, im going to pitch this song to my drunk driving class, maybe we can make some money.

rycehat: the guitar needs to decide where it is in my head. it goes from left to middle back to left and it makes me angry. the voice tracks are a little too different, and off from each other for me. and its hard to pay attention to either when they are both blazing in different ears making me dizzy. you should sing from a little deeper in your chest, or check the settings on the mic cause it sounds a little nasal. good melody, but the words are a little cheezy, like bad pop-punk gone acoustic. only my opinion.

mantzfield: nice. your drummer kicks ass as always. the guitar(s) have decided to make peace and its awesome. the bass blends n perfectly, the screaming, though remaining brutal, was clean and understandable... and maybe a little quiet, turn it up the tiniest of hairs. what a good song. going on the ipod.

Got to say, I love the Rev and Pineapples track. The speaky, sortof monotone vocals are great. Same as BBABM, the bass was non-existent on laptop speakers, which is a shame. Listening to music on a laptop though... it's my own fault for being lazy.

Steve Durand - that is the craziest, most awesome thing ever. Such a jolly, marching song. Brilliant.

6:00 Heart Attack - Nice sounding guitar. I like the panning and use of the stage with the minimalistic approach. Vocals are delivered nice. The only cringe was a few spots in the chorus, but not bad.

Bad Boys At Bat Mitzvahs - I like hearing interesting time sigs, it's always a nice change. Would have loved the guitar panned out wider. It seemed like the guitar and verse vox were fighting for the center, but the chorus vox spread out which sounded good. Good delivery.

Billy's Little Trip - Now I know the dates of when all of the GTA games came out. I feel complete. But the singer should be chained to a wall and everyone take turns punching him in the dick.

The Chadderandom Abyss - I do enjoy interesting time sigs, but generally when all of the instruments are doing all of the same sigs at the same time in the same song, lol. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!

DJ Superstar Satan - I don't know why, but I like this tune, it makes me grin. I generally don't listen to synth music with much inner happiness, but this one made me giddy with tickle monsters in my colon.

Duffey Westlake - I like a mild intro that jumps to big sound. Gives great dynamics to the song. Guitars are a bit tinny and are lacking bottom a bit, which is a standard digi problem, but done well. Probably just a tube plug-in to warm them would take care of that. But then again, who am I to decide on that, it's your song and you may prefer that. All in all, a good song.

The HATE Noise - I like the sound of the closed hat off the to the side on the intro. Plays off the guitars well. Also I like the powerful change up from the intro. Vocals are a bit hard to hear because they're pushed back and cut off on the lower dynamic range, but great energy. The guitar riff towards the last half was awesome.

Mantzfield - The intro guitar was a tad distracting, but when it went heavy, it made my ears happy. I like the creative changes, but it's a bit piled onto the same same spots on the field bleeding them together. Which is ok for a punk song, but a little more separation of the bass and guitars would have added more power. Good vocal delivery. Fits the song well.

MC Horse and the Handlers - Hay, sounds exactly the way a song like this should sound, like every other song like this. I do like it, because it grooves. Pedoo to the medoo....Not to nag, but I always get a chuckle hearing white guys talking like that, lol. I think this song is Oatkay. Over all, done well, good job.

Rev and Pineapples - Hey, I like this! My head is bobbing to help you keep your vocals in time and I think it's working. Cute voice. Fun sound effects. 88 lines about 44 women'esqu. Nice change of pace compared to the other songs thus far. Good job.

Rycehat - ahh, nice acoustic intro. I wish there was a little bleed over to the other side of the stage the way you did with the panned vocals. Then when it kicks, it's all center. You lost me on the chorus. It was going so smooth and the chorus got wild, but still passion was there, which saved it for me. Good song, my beef is mostly mixing issues, which is no biggy, we all get better at that the more we play with it....the mixing, I mean.

Steve Durand - Steve, you can't see me right now, but I'm holding a broom and marching around my masturbatorium like Sgt Pepper! I really like this, it's fun. It's energetic. It has horns. It sounds like something from the Mickey Mouse Club. It's a public safety announcement. Probably the most practical and informative song this week. Nice work, good sir.

Suckweasel - I like the chords. Well rounded sound. Reh-percussion....I like fun word delivery, nice! Ouch, lost me on the the first word in the chorus. It's ok, you picked right back up. I'm pretty sure I'd hit that note about the same way. Those long delivered words with key changes get me every time. Kind of a sex and candy vibe on the verses. I like this song.

unexpected bowtie - 3 chord uke(?) jam. Not too shabby. Nice vocal delivery. Nice backup vocals. Sounds like our own Jon Eric a bit. Good job.

Steve Durand - Ok...I think Steve found the perfect topic for his song. A march about the National Highway Traffic Safety Agency...didn't pop to my mind when I read the prompt, but it is the perfect fit. Topic aside, the song was just a lot of fun. It had me using my pen as a pretend baton at my desk. Very creative...best song this round. (Congrats on your 100th solo effort in Song Fight.)

Billy's Little Trip - This is the type of entry I expected. I think there's a few games that fit better than Grand Theft Auto, but honestly I don't play that game so I could be wrong. It was a fun song, vocals weren't great, but the videogame historian in me loves this kind of stuff. Well done.

MC Horse And The Handlers - It didn't make me want to turn it off after 30 seconds... I've enjoyed it a little more each time I've listened (just 3 times). I'd love it if you posted the lyrics in the "Ye Olde Lyric Archive". This almost got a vote...just missed.

DJ Superstar Satan - It's a sad day when an instrumental is my 4th favorite song in a fight. I liked the car horns...could have used some more car sound effects though & nothing made me think of 'awarding stars'. I think some different sound effects were needed toward the end, as it got dull & repetitive...but in this fight dull & repetitive gets you 4th...so yaaaaayyy?

Thank you, good sir. The vocals were a rough one time through that I ended up having to use at the last minute. But eh, it's a punk song.

wow... only 4 votes. the only review i got was that it was decent. was it really that bad? it wasn't the best song by far, but 4 votes? damn. if you tell every one of your facebook friends to vote for you, at least have them listen to the other songs too.

It doesn't help that the voting window was pretty short, too.

Although the voting is over, there is plenty of time for listening and reviewing. I left this thread sticky on purpose.

Shocked that Rev and Pineapples only got 13. I thought they would have won.
