Actor Leslie Nielsen has passed away tonight at the age of 84. Nielsen is best remember for his roles in Airplane, the Naked Gun movies, Police Squad and generally being the funniest straight man for all the wacky shit happening around him. His first role was all the way back in 1950 and he was in the middle of filming The Waterman Movie.
"don't call me Shirley"
Let's remember and smile, shall we?

Priscilla Presley up a ladder, Leslie Nielsen staring pretty much up her skirt:
"Nice beaver"
"Thanks. I just had it stuffed"
She hands him down a stuffed beaver.
This, folks, is comedy. Leslie was one of my favorite comedians... RIP

One of my favs too. I'm a sucker for corny humor.
For those that would like a visual.

I remember meeting Mr. Nielsen when I was 9-10(?) years old... My brother (5-6) and I had flown alone to Calgary to stay with my grandparents for a couple weeks... This was during the Calgary Stampede which Mr. Nielsen was the Parade Marshal or Master Of Ceremonies or whatever it's called. I remember meeting an Ex-NFL football player as well... but I didn't know who he was... but I knew Mr. Nielsen! Nice guy. He outlived my grandfather by 2 months.
