The Song Fight Bulletin Board

anyone here interested in helping me mix & master 1-3 songs in the next 2 weeks for RPM challenged (due 2/28/2011)?
looking to unload any work i can on this, and find time for some decent sleep, its going to be a mad dash to finish.

mixed and mastered this song last night, it could use tweaking, i don't have time for.
i can send all .wav track for this and other songs, you've be credited in the album, of course.

I'll commit to one song, dre. Send the files over with any particular instruction. If it sounds to your liking and there is time, maybe I can do another one or more.

OR, it could be a mix off. Two more volunteers and put the final mixes to a vote.

just waiting to get vocal tracks from our male singer this week, for 2 songs.

i'll let you pick what song you want, we'll also be recording our only straigup rock song(us trying to rock anyways) later this week, i think you would like that one. I'll keep you posted.

here are your options of songs so far, please let me know what song you would like to work on, am also making a note of how much effort i think it would take to mix each song. let me know, and i'll email you all tracks.

1- Simple things - its pretty much done, just not liking this mix. one of my favorite songs so far, but it's missing something not sure what. would want to keep background noise (kids/birds), guitar, vocals, sax, synths at the end. added melodica to help with singers strong mid range, but not helping enought. open to see if anyone can improve this.

2 -Anywhere is fine. Done. no more tweaking on this. check out the sax/strings arrangements at the end.. sweeet.

3 - Days like these - this is the raw unmixed version. missing vocals, recording them 2/17, maybe adding more sax on saturday, and more guitar (if i have time).. 2 different drum tracks (tame drummer / crazy solo drummer) would use what fits best with vocals. effort low - medium

5- Sleeping on the Ferris wheel - Duet that closes the album. I love this song, and it has good potential. might get male vocalist recorded 2/17, recoding sax/keyboardist instrumental outro, (song completly disintegrating at the end) saturday 2/19, and female vocalist mid - late next week. effort low - mid, wont have all tracks till late next week tho.

6- Russian Band - The plan is for us to rock out on this simple loop, and adding a couple of changes for chorus and breaks.. lots of lead guitar, and throwaway lyrics.. mostly going for a rocking mood. if you guys want to add guitars/ or tracks to this, more than welcome to. will try to record vocals 2/17, and our drummer on 2/23, wont have all tracks till mid-late next week. effort low - mid.
