The best part about being poor

Post by BBABM »

The only good thing about not making any money all year is that at the end of it uncle Sam feels bad for you and gives you the several dollars you gave him back. We like to call this a refund, when it is really just you being a broke joke.
I have recently received my $500 refund, and like any good American, I did not put it in the bank, or under the mattress for a rainy day... No, what did I do? I immediately signed onto musicians friend and spent it in it's entirety on a new guitar, amp, and iRig. Im super excited to try m new toys.
However with the acquisition, I also must give back a few of the instruments I have been using, namely my fathers vintage takamine, which is the best sounding guitar I've ever played, my sisters Djimbe, which you hear on CCAS, and a giant ancient midi keyboard which I have never actually used in the 5 years I've had it in my office. At the time I am to give these back, I also plan on stealing my other sisters bass, since I now have an amp.
All that being said, I am excited about the new dynamics that I am throwing into my mix. I can't wait. And I may have some treble-y bass lines going along rather than my usual g&g routine!

This would have been a nice start to the daily roll call to ask what everyone else is doing with their refund or acquiring for their musical pleasure. ;)

Me, I owe. My latest addition, a duo core computer that will make my music making process much better.

Oh, and congrats on the new equipment.
