Has anyone else used the
Audiotool App? I know that Song Fight isn't a mecca of samplers, but this is pretty freakin' awesome. A rather intuitive interface, fun to fiddle with, but also LOTS of depth for customization. The ability to record your own samples (limited to 30 seconds) and upload other stuff you've found really seals the deal for me. I'm addicted to SampleSwap.
Biggest bonus: it's cloud based. Wherever you go, there your samples and compositions are.

That is super fun. I'm always looking for web based music creation sites I can use at work. Thanks!

Very cool. But I tried the dubstep template and it's real cpu hungry. To be expected I guess from such an involved flash app. Also I'm on my old office computer. I'm sure my new computer wouldn't feel it as much.

Yeah, my office computer just got upgraded, but it's still only Windows 7 and 2 gigs of RAM. It runs fine here, though there is a tick to wait for samples to transfer into the interface.

Once I get my iPad, you can have my netbook.(You know, that tiny little thing I brought to New York.) It's not superfast, but it's stable.
And yes, I just checked, it runs AudioTool. In fact, I just got distracted building a loop for like 3 minutes in the middle of that last sentences.
And, just for general information, for everyone interested in this app: the netbook is an Intel Atom, N270 1.6 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. I'm running the app over my wireless connection.

This is seriously and wonderfully distracting!
Right click on the app and give it the OK to store unlimited amounts on your system. Then it plays a lot better.

I haven't tried this, but
uLoops Studio is also a certain level of fun, and also has native apps for Android and (I think) iOS.
