For all the Mac users in the house, Apple has finally addressed the issue of "how do I know whether I want to sink $300-1000 on this application if I can't try it out first?!" by giving people a way to <a href="http://apple.com/logicexpress/trial/">try it out first</a>, free for 30 days.
Also, for those of you who are either still in school or willing to lie about your status as a student, the academic version is available for half price.
This trial version is also only for Logic Express, which is probably enough for most people. Pro adds 5.1 surround sound mastering, pitch correction, and a few more softsynths.
