it's the last Thanksgiving Texas Longhorns vs. The A&M Aggies game. The Aggies are already up 10, which I of course think is atrocious. My Facebook wall is, of course, full of Aggies. I'm trying not to watch or care, since I'm a jinx.
Also, the commercials today have been just shocking, and the halftime show during the cowboy game was only redeemed by the sight of seeing that cheerleader get tackled.
I am very full of pie. Hope everyone is well, regardless of whether or not they are overfed Americans.

I was busy and missed this thread. I had two great Thanksgivings. One Wednesday and one on Thursday. It makes me feel a little guilty knowing some people don't even have one. But I made it very clear to my guests that we should all feel very thankful for that reason.
I wasn't able to volunteer this year, but I was able to donate 10 turkeys for the
Jackson limousine thanksgiving turkey dinner giveaway. They've been doing it for 23 years.
Hope everyone enjoyed time with family and friends. It's the one thing that is very important to me.

You know, I used to love to watch football, and ever since I left PA, I haven't really been able to watch my favorite teams.
... course, admitting that I'm a Nittany Lion isn't all that popular these days ...
ANYWAY, Thanksgiving was a really big hit this year chez McLaughlin. We know a couple that we hang with every Friday for True Blood or Pathfinder (the game, not the movie, or what have you, and they're always saddled with cooking for their family.) So, this year, I invited every one over to my place. (7 adults, not too bad.) And it turned out PERFECT. I love to cook, actually, especially big, fancy meals. The turkey was juicy, the stuffing was just so and everything hit the table hot and at the same time. BAM!

well, a UT Longhorn who watched the horns beat the aggies on the last game of that rivalry (always played on Thanksgiving) had an extra dollop of whipped cream on their pie
