"They're on their way!", a crazy man told me, while
watching the skies like Moulder and Scully. He
preceded to scold me, then reached out to hold me.
"We're not alone son! Run back home please!"

"I don't have time for conspiracy theories
old man, understand, listen to me clearly:
you're a crackpot, stop! I grow weary.
Go and drink your punch with Dr. Timothy Leary!"

He shook his head with a face forlorn
and his sorrowful eyes couldn't hide that he mourned
that I'm more than hesitant to be pleasant and warm.
"They'll arrive in a storm: you've been warned."

I walked away; the man's clearly insane
with some damage to the veins all up in his brains.
Then the sky turned black and it started to rain
and the wind howled loud like a hurricane...

And now I'm ashamed of the way that I smarted off
to the old-man who was so kind-hearted. Yeah,
the regrets started when the clouds were parted

stop racing as the metal placings
opened up on the front and I was facing a
greyish creature with features raising up
out its neck as it spoke! "We're embracing the

language you speak to declare your defeat.
We've flown from our homes with our own battle fleet.
We come from the stars. They're too far to see:
right there, on the edge of the galaxy.

You claim to be the one and only
intelligent life; that's a slight fallacy.
So my pals and me flew across the seas
of stars to impart that you should've believed."

I stood in a moment of shock and awe. I
couldn't talk at all 'til I picked up my jaw
off the floor, then of course asked "What's the cause
of this race through space to point out my flaws?"

Without a pause, the creature replied:
"It's not our first time. We sent our spies in
human disguise to all civilized
places in the world, and you hurled out lies

that we were crazy. You couldn't realize
that you're not alone. Now everyone dies!!"
To my surprise, my eyes start to blur
and I'm not really sure but I think I heard,

when the lasers fired and the Earth was burned
in a flash to ashes: lesson learned.
That's the fate you earn when you don't believe
they're right there on the edge of the galaxy.

the planets out there have been sending

we watch on TV while spending

we never see cool stuff from all the sci-fi
