Father and Child Reunion
by Nobody, et al.

If I get off of this mountain
I'll buy a farm in the dell
We'll never have to go hungry
And you'll always speak of me well

And we'll have a mule and an acre
And it might not be easy but at least I'll be there
And no one will ever be able to ask if I care

Dream as I stare at the fire
Wish you could see all these stars
I never had a body so tired
Never had a home so damn far

I pray that October comes quickly
And the good Lord keeps you from all harm
Wish for the day you run into my arms

And we'll have a father and child
Reunion and I'll try not to cry
As much as things change, some things never do
Like the stars and the mountains
And the way I love you.

I ride here alone in the canyon
Staring over the backs of these cows
Hoping that back in Topeka
You'll know that I miss you somehow

I promise that soon it'll be different
And this time when I come home it's for good
And that I would be there right now if I could

At the Reunion
Mr. Beany Bellows Balefully

At the reunion I saw him
At the reunion he was there
My son! My son! I saw him.
At the reunion he was there.

At the reunion I saw him
The man on the slab, he was there.
My son! My son! I saw him.
With our sorrows drawn over we bear.

The soldiers they came and they shot him
He was shot in the head without care
My son! My son! They shot him.
Oh! My life is now over I swear.

So I made me a plan to avenge him
For a plane is a bomb in the air
My son! My son! I see him.
And the final reunion we share.

G.U.N.S.

They stole you away from me
Said you were a danger
Took me from my home
Left me with strangers
You taught me about the world
Taught me the art of war
For every tear I cried
I'll even the score

(They) can't keep me away from my son
I will always be his father

The cat plays with the mouse
I play this like a game
Underneath moonlight
I make my escape
They told me where you were
Secrets they could not keep
When the cat shows its claws
Oh how the birdy sings

(They) can't keep me away from my son
I will always be his father

You taught me about the world
Every day I will get closer
Taught me the art of war
You taught me to survive
For every tear I cried
Blood is thicker than water
I'll even the score
You might just save my life

(They) can't keep me away from my son
I will always be his father

Adam messed up our chance for the prize
But it had to be fixed in his eyes
So he said to his only son
Get down there and tell’em it’s one and done.

Chorus
Time waits for no man –they say
Seems like birth to a death in a day
And if you believe in heaven
Thank the Father and Son reunion.

Words mean so little if left to themselves
It’s the truth that they bear
The most powerful man in the world
just a servant to Him.

Chorus

Bridge

Hold on – to the future.

Cryin’ in my room – I was
All alone and failin.
Heard him say to me
I love you stop your wailin.

Chorus

This fucking pot roast is burnt to a crisp,
There ain't enough gravy in the world.
Is this what passes for potato salad
with You fancy city folks?
If you don't toss around the old pigskin
You're just a plastic earmuff wearing punk!
I think you look pretty in your spandex onesy,
and Everyone can see your junk.
Your worlds all pastels and screaming.
Trade your headband for a jock.
Stop playing grab ass on a plastic mat,
and Consult your old mans playbook.
I'll always love you because I have to
but Now just leave me be.
Shut the fuck up and sit the fuck down,
I'm trying to watch T.V.

I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a touchdown man, I'm a body slam
I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a football player, I'm a wrestler
I'm a touchdown man, I'm a body slam

Father and Child Reunion -- The Kenzie Chickens

I was born in a chicken shack
It was loud in front it was dark in back
My mama cried in the pourin’ rain
While daddy left town on a northbound train
When I growed up I told my ma
I’d like to someday met my pa
She said be careful what you wish for son
This father and child reunion

I headed north for days until
I found his sister in Louisville
She showed me a picture, my pa and his crew
And gave me an address in Kalamazoo
She said he may not like your plan
So keep your hopes in check young man
Be careful what you wish for son
This father and child reunion

I may have been grown but I didn’t know
Some times you eat steak sometimes you eat crow
A fatherless child I hadn’t a clue
Sometime folks just don’t want to see you

I found him in a hotel there
A rundown place that spoke despair
Half asleep three quarter drunk
His eyes were red his body stunk
Wazzup man he said all gruff
I knew right then I’d seen enough
I walked away my searchin’ done
My father and child reunion

Father And Child Reunion - Paco del Stinko

You blow smoke rings - I breathe radiation
While you frolic and play - I destroy entire nations
Together we kill the mantis

On the island - Watch the balloon
When it goes flying - It brings our doom

From out of the shell - And right into the web
They won't feast on you - When I bring them their death
Together we walk in the sun

On the island - Watch the balloon
When it goes flying - It brings our doom

Here comes the storm
Here comes the cold
I'll keep you warm
Underneath the snow

When the sun returns - We'll be together again
And while our souls burn - Stay close until then

I hadn’t seen you for 33 years
I remember the shithead you were back then
So when a cousin got hold of me, curiosity got the better of me
Thought I’d see you one more time again

You still had your hair, and you still had your venom
Saved up from the last century
Your toxic nonsense, such a pitiful sight
And this time it won’t work on me

Go fuck yourself ,it didn’t give me any pleasure to say it
But I gotta say it as I see it
And now this farce is done
Im so glad I’m my mother’s son
and theres not gonna be another father and son reunion

I heard the sad refrain of your lies and accusations
The greatest hits of a lifetime of denial
And there it was, another pathetic demonstration
Of your limitless bile

Hoblit - Father & Child Reunion

I want you to know
that I haven't given up hope
Fruitless as it may be
I still keep it a float

another day goes by
missing a reply
oh how it flew

but what a joyful day
when I can finally say
pleased to meet you

I need you to know
that you're still in my scope
Fruitless as it may be
I still haven't given up hope

You are my flesh and blood
natural communion
One day there will be
father and child reunion

another day goes by
missing a reply
oh how it flew

but what a joyful day
when I can finally say
pleased to meet you

Reunion, Father & Child
Father & Child Reunion

I know we have a long long way to go
but I know we'll get there soon

Come on, some people have rocker's ear! Without a little lyric help a lot of times the words sound like a mumble.

Besides, you can't abuse child support if you pay on time! ;)

I just don't know what to say
When I've said what I knew
but what I knew was a lie
It couldn't be further from the truth

so take me home or kick me out
or slap me upside the head
is spewing nonsense and word play
enough for you to want me so dead?

Children will always be children
And fathers will never be right
Once we share with each other our feelings
That's where we see the white flag in the middle of this fight

Fathers never grow faster than their children
And the kids are always looking for their dads
Cuz growing up means having a bit more freedom
And laughing at jokes I used to think we're bad.

revolutionaries
are writing their pamphlets
trying claiming freedom
from their father's pamphlets

If we keep on writing pamphlets
writing on our pamphlets
will we ever have the chance to read
everybody else's pamphlets?

When children are done being children
Parents, hold on to your hearts
their parts are no longer cast for them
Adults always make their own parts

My father he came from the country
With a guitar and a song in his heart
As a child I grew up hungry
For a chance to play my own part

Father and Child Reunion
By Brown Word and the Big Whine

Father was a hero, a king, a knight errant
Father was a pirate, a brigand, a bandit
Someday we will follow in his gloried footsteps
Someday we will fall on his fateful sword

One day in the sweet by and by
One day we will meet again

Father was a good man, a strong man, wise
Father was deceitful, ruled by vice
When we become ourselves we shall be like him
When we become his image will it end in shame?

One day in the sweet by and by
One day we will meet again

Father’s been away on a long journey
A sojourn far into the deepest wilds
Whither travels this fabled figure
So vastly stretches the mind of a child
Father was a legend, a myth I was told
When I belonged to someone
All I know my name once was spoke
In a whisper

Someday we’ll meet again

Father and Child Reunion

By Steve Durand

It' been a long time
But you're on my mind
My Dad, that I love
And I've been thinking of

The things that we did
When I was a kid
We can talk about those good time
When we get together again

Walking on stilts
The treehouse we built
Shooting hoops in the park
And telling ghost stories in the dark

The places we've been
We'll live them again
It'll be just like old times
When we get together again

We built sand castles at the beach
And tried to pet the seals
You taught me how to roller skate
And how to ride without training wheels

Those days that I miss
Memories like this
Join me and we'll reminisce
When we get together again

Now I have children of my own
I've raised a family
And I'm the man I am today
'Cause of the things that you taught me

Like father, like son
That's how it's done
I know we'll have some fun
When we get together again
