Don't Like Reggae - Paco del Stinko
Don't like reggae, if you don't want to
I don't care - If it ain't what you do
Groove to your own tune
Bark at your private moon
Don't like reggae, if it's not what's true
Don't like chocolate, no-one can force it
I don't care - If you abhor it
Enjoy your own tastes
Smile your own face
Don't like chocolate, if it's not in your court
So many people feel the pressure
To conform to other's ways
Look inside for your own treasure
Find yourself - to their dismay
Don't like politics, it's not for everyone
I don't care - You are not a simpleton
Put on your favorite shoes
Create your own daily news
Don't like politics, you won't come undone

Don't Like Reggae
by Nobody, et al.
If you don't like reggae
Then just say it
If you don't like metal
Then just let me know
If you're not into folk rock
You'd better tell me
This passive aggressive
Has just got to go
When I kiss you
I taste something on the tip of your tongue
When you speak
I hear a song that's waiting to be sung
Never having fights
is not the same as being happy
Always giving in is not the same as being kind
If you disagree
I need you to tell me
Because I'm tired of trying
to read your mind
When I see you
I see something hiding behind your eyes
When I touch you
What you don't say feels like a lie
Don't tell me that
it's all good
When it is not all good
And don't tell me
What you think I want to hear
Just because you think you should
A river feeds the world
As it runs to the ocean
But first the drops of rain
Had to fall from the sky
I'm not a fool
I know this doesn't make you happy
And more's to the point
Maybe niether do I
When I ask you
You've got to tell me something's wrong
But if you don't really love me
Shut your mouth and play along

Don’t Like Reggae
By Brown Word and the Big Whine
The northern light retreats
The blackness of hell encloses
The fists of the gods encircle
All life is clad in despair
You are my antithesis
I live to destroy all you find holy
To desecrate your beloved master
The ultimate blasphemy
Don’t like reggae
I bite the throat of the sun and bring night
Obscuring the eye of the heavens
I bring the blasting breath of winter
When time stands still and souls whither
You are my antithesis
I live to destroy all you find holy
To desecrate your beloved master
The ultimate blasphemy
Don’t like reggae
The howling wind over unbroken plains
The screaming of winter through rocky crags
Survival is fitting in this world of brutality
Blood turns to ice and is covered
Death of day the only beauty

Oh Mr Marley, I like your reggae
Mr Quaker I like your oats
Mr Bell, I like your telephone
Mr Noah I like your boat
And I was on a boat getting a phone call
While eating my hot oatmeal
And in the background was some reggae
And groovy was the way it made me feel
Mr Otis I like your elevator
Mr Floyd I like your pink
Mr Bach, I like your well-tempered scale
Mr Guinness I like your drink
I was riding in up an elevator
And the Muzak was dark side of the moon
The notes were so evenly tempered
And we all started humming the tune
Oh Mr Higgs, I like your boson
It gives us all a certain mass
Oh Miss Monroe, I like your body
From your lips down to your (……)
I was lying in bed with Marilyn
We were discussing the standard model
We both agreed that if the boson was missing
It’s probably time to hit the bottle
Mr Nobel, I like your Peace prize
Much more than your dynamite
Mr Romney, I like your Massachusetts healthcare
What you did in Massachusetts was right
And I was thinking I need healthcare
It would feel like such a prize
But Mr Romney you are trying to blow it up
Which seems, frankly, so unwise
Mr Dylan, I love your Blonde on Blonde
Mr Shakespeare, I love your King Lear
Mr Allen, I love your Annie Hall
Ms. Earhart, I love your lack of fear
Let’s return now to Mr Marley
Whose reggae feels so right
And for those who don’t like reggae
You must be really really uptight.

Don't Like Reggae
Down in Jamaica where the ganja grows
Bound by the Caribbean Sea
Out in the fields where the kids be
No food for the poor in the missionary
If you don’t like the black man
You don’t like a glistening suntan
You might as well don’t like Reggae
If you don’t like the streets a bustling
You don’t like the people hustling
You might as well don’t like Reggae
Down on the beaches you can snorkel
They serve the best food you can eat
Down in the streets the Reggae music play
People in the clubs dance night and day
If you don’t like the deep blue water
Don’t like the Prime Minister’s daughter
You might as well don’t like Reggae
If you don’t like your toes in the sand
Don’t like a tropical land
You might as well don’t like Reggae
You can see so clear the water your eyes won’t believe it
You can come down here on vacation you won’t want to leave it
If you don’t like the water on your skin
You don’t like the bottlenose dolphin
You might as well don’t like Reggae
If you don’t like the constant sun
You don’t like to have any fun
You might as well don’t like Reggae

If You Don't Like Reggae
Then You Haven't Climbed High Enough
And I Think That Maybe
That You Haven't Tried The Good Stuff
trees won't hurt you
you climb trees you get high
listen at a ten
and reggae sounds fly
all around you
hearing colors
so deep in light
that sound is like sight
If You Don't Like Reggae
Then You Haven't Climbed High Enough
And I Think That Maybe
That You Haven't Tried The Good Stuff
hate can kill you
you give love you get love
loving all the time
you will rise above
all of the fear
fearing strangers
drives me inside
my mind where i hide

BILLY and the PSYCHOTICS
I kicked your keys under the bed again
but you won't remember anything..
they say ignorance is bliss
so when you're wasted away again - that's the best thing...
It doesn't matter that you can't keep a beat
cuz I don't like reggae much anyway
I'm just a girl with some simple needs
So I can make whatever rhythm that I'd ever need
You can try again if at first you don't succeed
...you can still aim to please
If your mainsail won't fly high
- just use your head
and figure out another way to
take one for the team ...
It doesn't matter that you can't keep a beat
cuz I don't like reggae much anyway

I'm just a girl with some simple needs
So I can make whatever rhythm that I'd ever need

You don't like beaches
You don't like rum
You don't like Kingston
Or the Jamaica sun
Why did you come here anyway
A stupid thing to do
You don't like Reggae
And reggae don't like you
You don't like drealocks
Or the ganja weed
You don't like Selassie
Or the Rasta creed
Why did you come here anyway
A stupid thing to do
You don't like reggae
Well, reggae don't like you
We are all Jah's children
So we should try to get along
But instead of just chillin'
You try to tell us that we're wrong
So go back to Babylon
And stop causing strife
Don't need no more haters
Messing up my life
Why did you come here anyway
A stupid thing to do
You say you don't like reggae
Well baby, reggae don't like you

Since the day I met you girl you blew my mind,
You're so clever, so quick, creative and kind
You got style for miles and an adorable smile
That's a little bit cultured and a little bit wild
And I don't mean to objectify
When I say you got sompin' sompin' catches my eye
It's the truth that I gotta speak
You got many strengths that make my knees weak
So I don't even know if I should mention this
Don't know if it's worthy of being addressed
But I can't deny that it pains me so
Every time you turn on the stereo
I don't L-I-K-E R-E-GG-A-E
NO!
I can't S-T-A-N-D I-T
NO!
Why you close your mind all the time, pom-pom?
Why you got to be so blind, my mon?
Hearing the love will open up your heart,
Check my fresh dubs and a rom-pom-pom
Rain is clear and here is sunshine
Nourish the soul and strengthen the mind
Music is pure and feeling is right
Quit the bumbaclot and a rom-pom-pom
I don't mind how you wanna get high,
You got your things and I got mine
I'll try not to bark, or barf, or balk
Even though it sounds like fingernails on chalk
And every road trip is gonna be the same
I'll take as much as I can until I go insane
And in the end it's worth it all
And I remind myself at least it isn't ska
I don't L-I-K-E R-E-GG-A-E
NO!
I can't S-T-A-N-D I-T
NO!
