Goddamn this movie was funny. Like laugh-out-loud-while-watching-it-alone-at-3-in-the-morning funny. Discuss.

i still haven't seen it... maybe i should... i'll make sure it's like 3 in the mornin' when i watch it \m/

i really want to see this one. we got this deal in the residence hall where i'm living where we get up to $50 of free movie downloads for the 1st semester. i'm hoping they get this one soon.

The preview bugged me immensely. Specifically this interaction:

Girl 1: "You're really pretty"
Girl 2: "Thanks"
Girl 1: "So, you think you're pretty?"
Girl 2: "What?"
Girl 1: "I said, 'So you think you're pretty?'"
Girl 2: *Stares Awkwardly*

Don't let the preview scare you off. Lohan is mostly just there to look hot, it's the supporting characters and the writing that make this movie great.

I Don't Get It.

It's a scare tactic by Girl #1 to keep Girl #2 in her place. Kind of like when Bugs and Daffy were in a shouting match and Bugs would switch position suddenly and Daffy would wind up doing what he didn't want to do. Except MEAN. She accepted praise of her appearance, therefore she's vain. An unexpected attack, therefore the awkward "what just happened?" stare. It's so incredibly mean, it's almost shocking. She couldn't have been more cruel if she had poked her in the eye with a pencil. But here it slips by almost unnoticed, in the blink of an eye (without the pencil), and the audience shares Linsey's discomfort.

Great movie altogether, and Tina Fey almost naked from the waist up (almost).

One of these two comments just convinced me to see this movie.

just saw this the other day... it was pretty good... i thought it was goin' be a lot better... but i still enjoyed it \m/...

I liked this a lot. I didn't laugh out loud much, but I was thoroughly entertained and it met my expectations.

Oh yeah, Lindsay Lohan is hotter than I thought she'd be, but Tina Fey is still the queen. Schwing!

Tina Fey is the woman who does SNL's news update. She's also a head writer for the show and wrote the screenplay for mean girls. So she's hot AND smart AND funny (AND married).
