...it's alright of a song. My mind is still intact. But a good message is a good message anyway you slice it.

The message is good. But somehow the music, hooks and production really deliver an emotional experience for me. Something I haven't experienced in a while, so I'm glad to have found this track. Maybe it is just the use of piano. Other songs off this album seem have different orchestrations, so my dreams of a piano and rapper duo are ruined.

I will admit that caught my ear too. I'm not much of a piano guy unless it's southern or honky tonk. And working with Dee, I feel like we're not taking advantage of her piano awesomeness. So I'm always listening to songs to see how people are working guitars and piano together. I like how Lynyrd Skynyrd did/does it and would like to try that sometime.

I don't like the way the lyrics flow (a bit too unstructured for my taste)... but the mix is splendid, nice and open and nothing sounds processed to death. And the performances are pretty damn good, too.

i enjoy Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. Their song "Thrift Shop" is on brainwash rotation in my house.

Never heard of these dudes before - That "Thrift Shop" is awessome!

Just wanted to add that I just listened to the album the Heist and these guys are really good. Check out their album if you get a chance.
