Happy New Year everyone! And Happy Mid-February to Caravan Ray! Any resolutions/goals/objectives/desires to be fulfilled, etc.? I plan on being able to record drums again in the coming year. Hey, it's big to me!

Happy New Year all!
I feel like I have the same goals as always. I'm not sure if that means that I'm a horrible slacker who never gets anything done, or if I've found the things I want to do with my life and I just need to keep doing them more?

HaPpY NeW YeAr, my musical pals!
qotd: surf more. work less. learn to move things with my mind.
.....but I'll probably just do the same thing I always do.

Jonathan Mann has a funny song about moving stuff with your mind:

I hope to keep continuing to lose weight, and improving my life in general. They are hopes, though, not resolutions. Resolutions just seem like psychologically a bad way to go about doing things.

Link fixed. PHPBB didn't like that it ended with a ")" for some reason.

I'm not much of a Johnathan Mann fan, but I like that song! It's like he stole my thoughts.
...I don't care for him spelling out "moving", but I can overlook it in the name of science.

I'm going to make goals, not resolutions. It worked decently last year - I probably accomplished 50% or higher. This year I'm planning on doing monthly check-ins on my goals, because that's better than ignoring them and being a failure.
One of them is going to be to drum for X hours. It's easy to log time to something when you're bored and it requires no decision making or serious commitment.

My son's bar mitzvah is this Saturday (yeah he's another heathen atheist Jew) so once that's over all hell breaks loose. Mostly the kind of hell where I produce song fight material. That's all that matters. And finding a job. That's all. And being a better son to my mother. Damn, I'm doomed to get nothing accomplished and its only the 2nd!
