Big hits that would lose

This question occurred to me while mowing the grass today:
Many times I will listen to a "real" song on the radio or on CD or whatever, and sometimes I'll think "Man, if someone submitted this recording in Songfight, it would win by a mile". I usually think that even if I don't personally like the song, because I can usually appreciate why a song is popular or quality even if it's not my taste. Anyway, my question is, What is the most popular or famous rock song that would lose a fight?
I don't have any ideas off the bat. Curious what you all think.

Reviews, to show I care:
Kingsmen: Gawd, get some originality. The 1-4-5 thing has been done to death. I hear shades of Wild Thing by The Troggs in this song, and it makes me want to hear that one instead of this one. I can't make out the lyrics at all, except for Louie Louie. It seems like it was just thrown in there so that you could say you wrote this for Songfight. A better recording would make me like this song better.

this review could be and probably has been applied to any number of my songfight songs.

There's a "hit" called 1985 or something that I would personally tear a new asshole if they submitted it here. "When did Motley Crue become classic rock?" Oh man that one sucks. And they had it on MTV2 all the time a while ago!

That was Bowling for Soup - "1985." I don't hate that song, but the rest of the album is way better. BfS are the new Too Much Joy.
Anything by Creed would get reamed.

But you're right, it would lose. I submit: Rocky Raccoon.

Heh, I play that game all the time. It makes FM radio barely tolerable.

Hahaha. Ditto anything by Staind. I'm not sure it qualifies as a "rock" song per JoS's question, but the God-awful "Outside" by Lewis and Durst would get completely shredded, and that pleases me. "Oh great, more G'n'G. The lyrics are trite, and the song would sound better if the backup singer learned how to harmonize."
And anything by John Mayer would probably get votes, but the reviews would be all "sounds too much like Josh Woodward."

The Times They Are a'Changin' - Bob Dylan:
Man, that guy-tar stuff is really getting old - and use some auto-tune will ya, your voice sux. Is this song ever going to finish - losing interest mid-way through second verse...

Beverly Hills - New Weezer Single
Oh great, another 1-4-5 song. Isn't this the same riff you used in your first entry, that Sweater song? The guitar better not just play on every 1/8th note the whole song... yep, it does. Lyrics are brutal, unless you're trying to be ironic, in which case you didn't try hard enough. Nice bridge though. Fantastic production, of course, but I've come to expect that from you guys. B-

Seriously thought, first time I heard that song my first thought was "Who is ripping off Weezer's sound without ripping off their spirit? Holy crap, it's Weezer, that's who."
