If you text while driving, you're an asshole. But you know that already, right? If not, perhaps this documentary by Werner Herzog will offer some enlightenment.

I'm guessing no one replied here because everyone here texts while driving.

I don't.
I don't actually know how to text.
I am old.
I am probably still an arsehole though

Nah, you're alright John. And you're only a bit older than me. Or is it younger? I can't remember. I do a little texting, it's like leaving a note on the counter for my girlfriend or something, but not behind the wheel. Ever. It's bad enough that people already don't know how to drive, now they take their eyes off the road to send meaningless texts to other people that can't live their life unconnected. About two years ago in my hometown, a kid texting and driving drifted into the next lane and hit and killed a 55 year old driver and put his wife in the hospital. For what? To text his girlfriend that he likes pizza or something? That, is an asshole.

I do fiddle with my iPod while driving. That is probably bad. Especially because I have to use the hand that isn't holding the beer, and steer with my gut.

Ha! Good thing the gut is ample enough to handle the task.
