Re: Nur Ein IX- Round Three
There's not much I can say to clarify this particular challenge, except for this...
I expect that some of you (either by choice or by necessity) will apply a broad interpretation of "Family Member." I have no problem with that.

I have a small, spread-out, non-musical family, and I don't believe in bending the words of the challenge (AHEM, VILLANELLE), so you're all going to have to deal with my fantastic song that follows the letter of the challenge to the T.

Snap. I am also looking forward to creating another situation MG can bitch about for years to come so expect me to play fast and loose with the challenge againManhattan Glutton wrote:I have a small, spread-out, non-musical family...
Does this require a performance from the family member or will a writing credit suffice?

I'm going to be disappointed if someone doesn't write a song for this title about a frog's anus. But I'll be so happy if you do and have family members make croaking sounds and the sound of slowly squeaking air released from a balloon.

It's already round 3 and you haven't had to post a photo of yourself with a dick drawn on your forehead yet. You are making remarkable progress.furrypedro wrote:Manhattan Glutton wrote:This guy doesn't follow the rules anyway.

I see myself by my eight months old daughter with a micro all day long!
When I suggested my wife to sing she laughed at my face.

Vincent,

In the Applesauce Baptism fight , my daughter was 10 months old (the same one that just sang on Your Light No Longer Shines). It's not the best song, but the solo section is a baby blathering solo at about 2:15 (you'll probably want to skip to that part.
plus since you're there, check out the Those Meddling Kids track. One of my all time favorites by the artist now known as Balance Lost.
cheers!

Another example - this was about age 2. They get better when you can get some whole words out of them:Vincent Von F. wrote:Thanks, mate!glennny wrote:Vincent,

BTW: Caravan Harriet is now 9 and the only family member I have within 200km of me and I have to spend most of this week in outback Queensland. But I will see her on Friday night - so we will see what we can do.

Re: Nur Ein IX- Round Three
my little brother is a stellar drummer, so we may try that. But I won't be able to resist involving his daughter somehow, who is not yet a year old ... It would make sense because Austin's Song Fight Live was her very first live show in her life, so why not have her on a recording now? NUR EIN!!!!!!!!!

Re: Nur Ein IX- Round Three
This challenge is definitely challenging. All our family live thousands of miles away and none of them normally record music. Erin's family is mostly at a wedding today too, and have been traveling the last few days to congregate for that. :/ Hopefully we will not have to default.

Yep. I too have a small family all far away and not familiar with recording. Despite it being Mother's Day, mom is off the list.
Bringin' the stink since 2006.
