What's your YouTube channel so I can whitelist it in AdRev?
The audio fingerprint won't match your live performance, but maybe your recordings played during the breaks will match if that's what you registered...

It depends on what kind of fingerprinting they're doing. I know that AdRev gives a LOT of content matches based on tiny fragments and 12-tone analysis and so on, given some of the hits that have turned up on my dashboard (and some of the hits that led me to register in the first place, because of other peoples' registered uses of songs that use some of the same Logic loops I've used).

For example, I got an AdRev hit on a ccMixter remix that just used a sample from one of my songs but doesn't sound at all similar to the original. So I wonder.

One of my Youtube videos is a solo piano cover of "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" by Warren Zevon, and BMI found it, issued a copyright claim on it, and slapped ads over it. I didn't use the original recording at all. They can definitely catch performances that differ from the studio recording. It's kind of ridiculous.

I set up Google events for the Hangout on Air:

https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/chde ... klqqe3mi8k (night 1)
https://plus.google.com/u/0/events/c3v2 ... 65qv8ofddc (night 2)

You don't need to RSVP, but it's there as a reminder for you, if you use Google Calendar and/or Google+.

Crap, it's only letting me whitelist channels associated with my Google account. Never mind, I'm sure it'll be fine.

[EDIT] Oh, I see, it's using Google's OAuth thing. I could whitelist it from your laptop instead, if you care.

Yeah, and AdRev finds things based on the 'composition,' too. There's obviously some 12-tone and rhythm analysis going on. This is the one which got a positive hit for "composition:"

That's just the vocal line from No Brakes (Radio Ready version) on top of a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT backing track, and the remixer used pitch adjustment to change the melody to fit the completely different chord progression. And ContentID/AdRev found it the day the video was posted.

(I've also made a whole $0.01 off of it so far! Finally, I'm a professional musician!)

YouTube's fingerprinting survives processing to a surprising degree but the pitch tracking wasn't very good. This sounds way more advanced than when I audited their systems four years ago, which should be expected since it's one of their primary revenue streams and the only way labels would let them host such things.

Plus, that's an awesome track, fluffy.

I'm streaming Manhattan Glutton's rehearsal in order to test the camera and the board audio. http://youtu.be/JDMwTrV_LJE

Someone please check in and let me know how it looks/sounds.

looks pretty good.
I hear vocals, keys and bass okay
drums are really soft, guitar is a little soft. I don't imagine you have much control of that mix.

No matter how well you think you know how Google runs its services, they'll find some way to mess you up.

By luck, I glanced back at the live stream window just in time to spot the mistake and fix it before Manhattan Glutton started.
