What is your favorite U2 song?

It's mostly my favorite because of the video which was animated by David O'Reilly, one of my favorite animators.

My favorite U2-related thing was when jeffff covered the entirety of Achtung, Baby!. Which I would link to directly but his site seems to have gone minimal and all the stuff is on one page without anchors. Anyway it's really freaking good.

“One” is the obvious answer that immediately springs to mind. Upon further reflection, where I consider every other song on Achtung Baby (if you stop it after track 9, which I do), “In a Little While”, “Discothèque”, “Gone”, and “Sunday Bloody Sunday”, I'm gonna have to stick with “One”. Yes, Regeous, final answer.

My favorite U2 song is, without question, Night and Day. The song is a cover of the Cole Porter classic and appeared on the 1990 compilation "Red Hot + Blue". 1998 was Rattle and Hum. 1991 was Achtung Baby. Night and Day is the point where U2 went from sound A to sound B. If you have never heard this before, give it a try.

I'm really on the fence about this one. Achtung Baby is one of my favorite albums of all time, so probably something from that. Maybe "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses?" Or perhaps "Acrobat." Or possibly "Even Better Than the Real Thing?"

Actually, you know what? I'm going to have to agree with user, it's gotta be "One." Final answer.

If we're going to choose a single Achtung Baby song then I'll have to go with "Until the End of the World." But that whole album is great.

I love all the Eno albums U-Fire through Zooropa (their best era), I like the old stuff too , especially October.
My household refers to "Lemon" more than any other U2 song.
Playing Where the Streets Have no Name is just about the most fun I've ever had playing a cover.
Very close second is the studio version of Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

for some reason i've just never liked u2, but the ones with eno on them are not as bad as the others. i think it's bono's voice that bothers me. i like their guitarist.
