Now for the more "barroom" or "tavern song" side of the common folks' music. What is your favorite song by good ol' Dr. Dirty, John Valby?

This is the first artist mentioned who I've never heard of. I shall google him. In the meantime, I'll say, hmm, Aretha Franklin's cover of "Bridge Over Troubled Water". So soft, so smooth... /I'm kind of a dick

Never heard of him. How much did he pay you to spam him?
But after reading his wiki, we already have a guy like him on the mighty Song Fight. Caravan Ray. And his name is also John. And I'm sure he has been called dirty John on more than one occasion.

This guy is more like a mean-spirited Abjure.
I hadn't heard of him either, so I looked him up on Spotify and listened to a few songs. No offense, Tyler, but I think I've found my song nemesis, and his name is John Valby. And now that I look through YouTube a little, I see that an old friend of mine used to quote "Eat Bite" all the time. Huh.
I think I'd rather listen to Todd Snider.

After a brief stint on youtube, I'm gonna pick "Buffalo", which he good-humoredly wrote after his house burned down. I don't love his music, but it could be worse. Just google "hate music groups" to see what I mean.
This guy should definitely come to Songfight. I'd sit back and laugh while socially conscious songfighters ripped him to shreds, and then jb would ban him for bigotry.

That Caravan Ray comparison is spot-on! I knew I'd stir up the forum a little by posting his name instead of a serious rocker's name! My favorite is probably his version of Barnacle Bill.
