What is your favorite song by the Police?

Miss Gradenko but I also like Walking on the Moon so aaaaidontknow I'm going to sleep.

Currently "Message in a Bottle". I'm still relatively new to the Police (except the radio hits).

Truth Hits Everybody! So Lonely! Driven to Tears! Any Other Day! Darkness! Every Little a Thing She Does is Magic! Murder by Numbers!

The Police are among my top 5 bands of all time. They're one of those bands I really want to be in. Great songs! great sense of humor! Fantastic musicianship!

Even though it's a big radio hit, and they don't have a song I don't live on some level, I think my honest favorite is:

Every Little Thing She Does is Magic

Honorable mention to "Roxanne", "Message in a Bottle", and "Spirits in the Material World".

Glennny just blurted out all of the best of. For the record, Murder by Numbers is actually called Tea in the Sahara. Niv corrected this, I'm an idiot.

......all but two insanely great songs. Invisible Sun and Synchronicity II. I like any song that mentions Nessie and a guitar pick sliding down a wound string giving her a voice. As far as I know, this is the only one.

Crap. I was going off and album track list and thought I just discovered something. heh, thx.
Okay, I see where it happened. The vinyl version ended with Tea in the Sahara. The cassette and CD added Murder by Numbers. I was listening to the CD version while reading the vinyl track listing and thought, wow, it's not actually called Murder by Numbers. A little more research next time.

Tough one! When I was a kid, my cool uncle (a jazz drummer) gave me a casette tape simply labeled The Police. I listened to it non. Stop. I would later come to learn that it was a copy of Reggatta de Blanc. While I love all their albums, that one will always have a special place in my heart. So I gotta go, On Any Other Day.

I love this song! It totally reminds me of the movie "Heathers" with Christian Slater and Winona Ryder (*sigh*). "Teenage suiciiiiiide, DON'T DO IT!"

Weird one for me - 'Walking In Your Footsteps'. There's plenty of better Police songs (many mentioned already) but I just love the terribly brilliant / brilliantly terrible lines "Hey there mighty brontosaurus / Don't you have a message for us?' It's the sort of rhyme I would try but wouldn't have the melodic chops to carry off ....
