Cubase 4

Post by Lunkhead »

Anybody out there upgraded to Cubase 4 or Cubase 4 Studio? I just got my upgrade yesterday, and took an extremely brief look at it. I'm wondering if anyone who had experience with a version of Cubase 3 has any feedback about Cubase 4.

I haven't upgraded yet. I've heard good things and played with it very briefly at guitar center a few months ago. Looks very promising.

The Demo I saw at AES last year looked like they integrated a lot of cool new features, most notably the studio environments. I forget what it is called.

I love it. Halion 1 sounds SO much better than I was expecting for a free synth. Instrument tracks are something I've been wanting since forever, if you work with VSTIs much they're ideal. The mediabay thing I would have loved if I hadn't already bought Kore to fill the same hole. Track presets are a fantastic idea. And of course now you've got the flexible routing and sidechaining, which I haven't actually put to use yet but I'm itching to.
