Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?
Are there any rules governing the creation and subsequent submission of a death metal song for Song Fight!? I just would like to know where I stand.

Yes, it is strictly forbidden under Article 403(b).dirgetheband wrote:Are there any rules governing the creation and subsequent submission of a death metal song for Song Fight!? I just would like to know where I stand.
Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?
See also Clause five, sub-paragraph d for further restrictions.

Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?
I've begun work on a pretty ambitious tune for this fight. Hopefully it will all turn out as awesome as the first two minutes, because so far it's shaping up to be pretty fantastic.

The only rule is: It must rock at least this much.dirgetheband wrote:Are there any rules governing the creation and subsequent submission of a death metal song for Song Fight!? I just would like to know where I stand.

I had some spare time the other night and bashed out something. I think you'll agree that the Stylophone (bday present) is both the best and worst part of the song.

I've got a song written. If I can record it, it should be pretty, pretty nice.

Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?
I fully aknowledge the Rolf as the ordained king of the Stylophone and wouldn't even pretend to say I'm half as good.

I agree with you 100%. I decided to plow in despite the fact that I can barely work GarageBand (or a guitar, for that matter).loopio wrote:The level of music is freaking me out. Kudos! Can't wait to try again,,,
I've got a scratch vocal & guitar track down for Fog, and I'm hoping I have enough time to put the whole thing together. I have to log a lot of hours at my day job - which I promise I'm not quitting anytime soon!- over the weekend. I want to get it done because it's a real departure from the riffy stuff I've submited so far.

As usual, start with a really great idea and high ambitions...
then I start to record with my crappy-ass equipment and it comes out junk.
Ah well... a little final mixing and it'll be in...

Re: Are you in a fog about the next fight?
I hate working on guitar tone. I also suck at it.
However, I won't let my shitty tone stand in the way of me turning this tune in. I just hope I can come up with something that works before the deadline, cause I'm pretty sure my song is awesome, at least in some ways.
