Want to produce your SF song for fun
TL;DR: send me SF song tracks before deadline, I will do my magic as best as possible.
In order to hone my production skills and raise the audio quality of SF, I'm offering to produce your song. No strings attached - as long as I have time to work on it. Just PM me with your current demo and we'll work things out.
Everyone's welcome - whether you're a G&G superstar, a chronic bad singer, or you just want some more polish. No guarantees or warranties.
Here's how it works.
1. Record your tracks to a metronome like usual.
2. Contact me with a copy of your demo.
3. I say that I'm able to do it.
4. Send me your raw tracks, BPM, and lyrics.
5. Time passes.
6. I send you back my best attempt to awesomify your song.
7. If you don't like what I've done, you don't have to submit it. Otherwise, submit it under your name.
8. ???
9. Profit!
Success stories:
Jon Eric - Hardly a Moment
Bad Boys at Bat Mitzvahs - Out of a Hat

If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: Free song production
You say you return your attempt at mastering, but the offer is production. So, you'd record more tracks (if necessary), mix, and master?

Re: Free song production
Yep. Drums/bass/backing vocals/whatever all potentially included. I guess you could call that traditional 'collaboration', but I'm going for more of a 'helper' type of deal. Offer limited to one person per lifetime.
The idea is I get experience working with other people's tracks, you get to hear what finishing touches can bring to your work, and the fight will have a more pleasant overall sound. Win/win/win?
However, there is the caveat that if you send me a bare bones song, I may end up taking it in a direction you don't like, in which case you, of course, don't have to submit it (with a chance of being posted in the review thread).
No guarantees on what I'll be able to do and how good the results turn out.

Jon Eric did. Perhaps on accident. He won that fight.

Re: Want to produce your SF song for fun
I didn't know the offer was on the table, but I reached out for production assistance (because I was deaf in one ear at the time), and MG accepted. My only win so far with my own material. Thanks, MG!
