Re: Before After Hours (prefight)
I instantly got a head movie of a neon sign on a diner above the door that is sort of buzzing and getting power surges so the light kind of dims then gets bright with a crackle. It's early morning around 3:00am and no one is around. It's kind of drizzling out but not enough for an umbrella. I hear footsteps in the distance kind of reverberating off the walls of the diner. I don't see anyone, but the footsteps are most definitely getting closer. I'll just go into the diner. Damn, the the door is locked, they're closed! The footsteps stopped. This would be a good thing in most situations except one problem. They stopped right behind me!

Re: Before After Hours (prefight)
I like the title alot. Maybe it's time for a comeback. I'd have to get rid of this cold before Friday morning though.
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style.

Re: Before After Hours (prefight)
Since it's already scrolling off the "latest posts" lists, I'll just mention that I put up a lyric at http://songfight.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... 88#p156288
Not the most clever thing I've ever written, but since we have a very close deadline this week, maybe somebody will find it useful.
Confession: for various reasons, I'm not able to do much recording right now, so I'm hoping that somebody(s) will pick up my lyrics to help me add to the "songs written" count by musicifying this.
I think I have another one of my "featuring" cover art pieces for this week, though.

I'll be returning, perhaps under a new name. I think it's time to put the sober irishman to rest.

I don't think I'll have time for this title even though I like it a lot. But if anyone needs any back up vocals or guitar, shoot me what you've got by Thursday.

I'm technologically slow...
I'm in for After Hours (under Oddments)...however when I went to send through my email, it did get sent, but also told me it didn't and was saved as a draft, and a copy of the email was there...should I resend, or just let fate run its course?

It can't hurt you to resend it. It will just overwrite the original file if it was sent correctly.duffey wrote:I'm technologically slow...

Re: Before After Hours (prefight)
Had the song written Monday, didn't get around to recording it til today. 3 1/2 hours, not a bad turnaround. I'm not sure about the switch back to Acid. Maybe I'll try a reinstall of Cubase and give it another chance to act right.
For those interested, I think I have found my genre. Texas Country feels really good.
