Just finished the writing portion of #1 today. I've tracked nothing at all yet, but I do have quite a bit of material started. Got a day off on Sunday and I really hope to start structuring more so I can start with the recording process! BTW, one week down, three to go! :-)

I'm in late, so I wrote a song about being late to FAWM. http://fawm.org/songs/48701/

Will try and do some listening over the next few days.

I hit my quota for FAWM. I made it over 14 songs. However, my goal was 14 songs for a concept album. I only have demos for 12 songs for the concept album. I have the last two written, but I'd like to do demos before FAWM officially ends.

I attempted to do 28 songs. Ended up with 16. Missed my personal goal, still passed the challenge.

Got seven songs for RPM, so I need to pad things out a bit. Ended up with two or three I really like and learned some stuff about recording and song writing, so pretty successful no matter what. Gotta design the cover, too! So still a busy couple days ahead.

Got my 14, after finishing two last night. I have two more in a state of incompleteness that I'd like to finish, but it's nice to have the pressure off.

Finally got my new computer, which means I finally got to play Rocksmith to learn to play guitar properly. Got in, went to the tuner. Went to tune the first sting... it broke.

Taking it as a hint, I'm done. :P
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Alright, I finished. Actually wrote a few "real songs" and then a bunch of other insanity. I rarely finish songs, so it's kind of a treat for me...

Also, https://www.dropbox.com/s/brrpv0pjt0c5f ... 5.zip?dl=0 since alonetone doesn't have a particularly great player.

Got my 15, because I either do 10 or 15: 15, 10, 10, 15, 15. No idea why.

I only was able to do 12 songs, but it was my first FAWM, and I am quite pleased with the experience. Well worth the effort and lack of sleep for a month.

Got off to a great start, but my momentum crashed and burned when I tried to collaborate on Lost Weekend. Also noticed that my songs were getting darker, so I stopped writing lyrics, and only did versions of other people's songs. I'm happy with what I did. I plan to do it again next year. May do 50/90 in July-October.

Long shot, I know, but if you happen to be a UK FAWM-er I haven't already harassed, the Fawm Over Parties (that I know of) happening in this fair-to-middling isle are as follows -

This Sunday, 28th March, at the Blue Moon pub Cambridge, 2-9pm

Saturday, 11th April, upstairs at the Vauxhall Griffin, 4-11pm

I will be at both, performing badly rehearsed songs (hell, I haven't performed live in a *YEAR*, due, mainly, to public demand). There will also be present (in London) Andy Balham, and, hopefully, Mr. FurryPedro, and (at both) irregular songfighters from down the years.

If you're in town(s) on the dates suggested, come along! No need to perform, but if you fancy, no need to do 'FAWM15' songs - any songs are good. Just turn up and go with the flow already! All are welcome. Just an excuse to hang out with like-minded people for once, if you know what I mean.

More info can be found over heeeeeeerrrrrrreeeeee ....

[Thank you for your patience. You will now be returned to your scheduled programming./]
