Re: Songfight Live PDX: Wiccans and Chickens Aug 14 & 15 20
Hey kids! Bad news. My phone picked last night to die. (I think some stray condensation my have nailed it at the venue last night. They really ought to make these things more water resistant.)
Anyhoo, I'm trying to rig a replacement, but right now I'm w/o mobile device. Which is, to say the least, sub-optimal. Apologies.

Huge thanks to everyone involved in the organization, load-in, load-out, etc. of this event, especially Anti-M and Chad, JB, fluffy, and everyone else who assisted in the rescue of my wayward pedalboard.. My daughter had a great time on stage, and a great first impression of Song Fight!. She has been singing Futureboy's Tank Top for the last 2 days....
Cheers!

Re: Songfight Live PDX: Wiccans and Chickens Aug 14 & 15 20
Hey everybody! You all rocked! I'm exhausted / coming down with a cold, but it was totally worth it.
It was wonderful to meet/see you all. Thanks so much for being such a great group to work/play with. You guys were all tremendous, and we could not have pulled off this event without all of your expert and thoughtful help. Thanks in particular to (but in no particular order):
Rabid Garfunkel for procuring and staffing the superb/aesthetically excellent practice space, and amassing / wrangling/ hauling the lions' share of the gear. The practice space was really a treat, even if it was 1 million degrees in there. I ride past that place everyday, and always wanted to check it out. It was serendipitous to have a chance to play in there and meet Roz. (Raz?)
Spud for ALSO bringing / wrangling/ hauling mass quantities of gear from points north and braving the Tacoma dodge-em. Spud as Saturday MC par excellence was also crucial in keeping the incredibly tight Saturday show on schedule -- and we managed to finish on the dot of midnight thanks to his cat-herding skills. Our coach remained un-pumpkinafied.
Roymond for undertaking soundguy duties on BOTH nights. Roy, you clearly know what you are doing behind the board, as everybody sounded amazing and I was seriously thankful to delegate that duty. I said this before, but you are my hero. (Unrelated -- but you sister is delightful. Thank her again for coming out to see the dog and pony show!)
Niveous for MCing Friday night. Songfight's resident anarchivist was the obvious choice for this role. You nailed it.
Sam for undertaking the live stream on Saturday night. (I'm sure our 4 viewers appreciated the effort.) : ) Thanks also for making sure the preggo was hauling the amps as little as possible! : D I know others were recording / streaming the shows as well -- thanks to you as well! (I'm not sure who was manning those projects-- but your efforts were appreciated!)
I hope I got everyone -- I don't mean to leave anyone out -- You were all part of this barn-raising effort, and it was a delight to work with a group of rockstars that was so universally accommodating, helpful, and devoid of diva-syndrome. I hope you all had funs in Portland. Give a holler if any of you end up back round these parts. XOXOXO
PS:
If you are inclined, please also send some love via the yelps/social media/whathaveyou to our hosts, Culmination Brewing and Mississippi Pizza. They both did yeoman work for us, and I thought they made the experience even more enjoyable. Send business to them!

Re: Songfight Live PDX: Wiccans and Chickens Aug 14 & 15 20
okay everybody. Great to see you all! Great shows!
Almost all of it is on video. The battery ran out the 1st night before I realized and had to plug it in, not sure yet when exactly that happened.
In any case please post or PM me your set lists!
otherwise I will make up new titles for the song when I get to it.
They will start to trickle on to You Tube in the next few days. Its a long process, but it's mostly passive.
Cheers!

Cool. Are the audio tracks going to be made available in time to submit, or should we expect to have to make our own plans in that regard?
Thanks!
Thanks!

But,
I think it was:

probably ought to fend for yourself, I'm not going to have a lot of time before the deadline. The audio is still camera audio anyway.Cool. Are the audio tracks going to be made available in time to submit, or should we expect to have to make our own plans in that regard?
