Oh... Unnatural Disaster.
A repetition after over a decade. Not bad. Besides, it's Round Zero.

Re: Nur Ein XII - Round Zero
Ah crap. Ah, well. Too late to change it now. 80 odd challenges on, I think we can forgive ourselves. Maybe that's the theme of XII
Also, I would point out that the "Unnatural Disaster" challenge was "the song must include use of backwards recording". If you can't see the "subtle difference", then, well you're not going to win Nur Ein (yet again). Or to put it in TL:DR terms- If you did this before, just do exactly what you did then, for extra 'old f**cker' points

I see the subtle difference. "Backwards instrumentation" not "backwards recording".j$ wrote:

I am about to eat a large bowl of baked beans and boiled cabbage, then record a flute solo.

Re: Nur Ein XII - Round Zero
There's a good chance I'm out this year. It happens every once in a while. We're repainting, spring cleaning, and I'm currently working most evenings and Sundays from 9am - midnight. I *will* be able to judge, though, even if I can't review in depth every week. And if the planets line up, I could throw in a judges entry. Niv, if you need me, let me know.

Never been so close to missing the deadline since "Full of Courage", I think, which was my very first Ein submission. But still - I'm in! Nur Ein!

So, how did you meet the challenge? What backwards elements does your song contain?
Mine has backwards vocals (in Greek!) during the bridge and, more subtly, reverse piano all over the track.

Oh, and there's a musical palindrome, of sorts, in my song. That filtered noise loop sounds exactly the same backwards.noma wrote:So, how did you meet the challenge? What backwards elements does your song contain?

Damn, seven returning champions. We're just missing TWSA, frankie big face, and Carlo Bruno Jr. Tough competition!
