It's the soda fountain at the beginning of "That thing you do"
The whole area has been in a bunch of movies and stuff. A definite throwback to early 20th century - it's a lot like Disneyland's main street.

Where are the cool places in Spokane? Couldn't tell you, and I guess it depends on what my guest is into. If they are music collectors like I am, then we'd probably check out United Groove Merchants, 4000 Holes, Recorded Memories, and maybe The Long Ear in Coeur D' Alene if time allows.
Honestly, I would enlist Justin's help as a tour guide, because I am a homebody that rarely gets out of the house, and Justin seems to know this town inside and out. In fact, when Ken was in town, that's what happened.
If my guest(s) were here tonight, I would go take them to see Kite because they're playing a gig tonight, and they're an amazing live show.
Hopefully the show will get me out of my negative mode that I have been in today. I feel severely irritated and annoyed, and I really don't have much of a reason for it.
ROCK!

Man, I always forget about old town Orange. I've been there for the Gogh Van Orange art and music festival. Also, we stopped at Watson's for ice cream.rdurand wrote:Of course, here.

Plus, I'm pretty sure that there was a seen in the last Duke's of Hazard movie of them racing around the circle. I should look that up.

Holy cow. Did you have to get a permission slip or anything to see it?Bjam wrote:We're watching City of God in Lit and Film, which is sort of... uncomfortable. Y'know, watching rape, drug use, shooting kids, sex, guns all over the place, all while sitting with your friends and teacher.
What a great movie.

We did a generic permission slip at the beginning of the semester. The teacher hadn't seen City of God when we started watching, and after the first day said, "Yeah, I probably wouldn't show this to you if I had known what it's like". But it is a super good movie, so it's all good. We've watched a weird mix of things(Run Lola Run, High Fidelity, The Graduate, Rushmore, Do The Right Thing, Shawshank, The Blob), and the other people in the class are super fun and mature so it ends up being alright.jb wrote:Holy cow.
