Re: I make trouble (I'm A Creator reviews)
Berkeley Social Scene : One of the longest tracks here and also one of the most musically interesting. The tempo change into the breakdown/guitar solo is a great compositional touch, good stuff, it’s nice to here an extended instrumental break and have it be awesome around here but that was really ...

It's a synth borrowed from Plok, a so-so but charming video game with one of the best soundtracks of all time. https://youtu.be/4mmn7siswJY?si=0EgCxgo4lsvCeAao&t=157

Re: You're So Naive (Letter To My Teenage Self reviews)
Phlub : Shoegaze! I know we both like Swervedriver, and the lush guitar sounds on this track are killer! The vocal melody get pretty out-there starting at 0:45, which takes me out of the song a bit, I might have tuned them to something more consonant. The wall of sound here is truly something, and ...

Re: You're So Naive (Letter To My Teenage Self reviews)
Chumpy: This chord progression seems like it's going to be straightforward but somehow it isn't and it keeps going places I don't expect. Melodically pretty good. Lyrically -- yeah, it is kind of cool how 'nerd culture' went mainstream and what used to be seen as totally frivolous and uncool suddenl...

Letter To My Teenage Self
Phlub Wrote a letter to myself and sent it back in time Got a letter from future me and I read…it Said, you will get here, you will find me Sat right here pen in hand Feet upon steaming sand Asking why you sent for me. Wrote a letter to myself, forgot that it was mine Such a guy, I wish him well Tr...

It is interesting, very interesting... Is this microtonality? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_temperament Also I made one of these out of a damaged Laurel Canyon acoustic I got for free. :) https://www.kiteguitar.com/ Love that! Re: What doesn't kill you.... (Silver Birthday reviews)
It's wild, SongFight's just kind of one of those things that's constantly there in the background. It's easy to take for granted but sometimes having it around is just the best. Good people and just a great excuse to write something (especially for those with zero aspirations of commercial success).

Re: What doesn't kill you.... (Silver Birthday reviews)
heine : I feel like intermittently torturing your neighbors is part of the songwriter experience! Structurally this doesn’t really take a lot of risks, but that would be at odds with the sort of song it is anyway. I don’t know your history (beyond being a fellow longtime songfighter), but this song...

Phlub feat. Sweeney Toad In the first few years after Y2K I heard about a site via KOMPRESSOR with a K Where they give you a title and about 10 days I said "count me in, that's a game I wanna play" I showed it to my friends cause I thought it was cool It was my favorite thing to do way bac...

Re: ST23 Round 3 Challenge 'Listen Between the Lines'
ST23r3 Celestial Drift- Lot’s of coolness going on. Another song with a lack of melody. There sure is a lot of one note phrases. Sometimes you have to be less Tool and more Perfect Circle. I’d lock you in a room with the song “So Long and thanks for the Fish”. Let you out when you had more of a mel...
