Jute: word. Meybe that's why my interest died off... :) Rabid G: Yup, you remember correctly. And in fact I did "score" a little hallowe'en horror short I did with my camera to send to friends in it, worked brilliantly. I'm hoping to bring the game to the next level though, video-wise. You know get ...

forgive this dummy question, I'm sure I know the answer..but I'll ask anyway. If I buy a better video card, will the playback and editing, filtering and effects processing be taken over by this card? Thereby relieving my P3 1 ghz processor of those tasks, and hopefully resulting in better performanc...

ummmm, ok i'm out.

what was I thinking...no time. I commend all of you who will get this done or somewhat done. Next year I'm in for sure, but this year is cutting me no slack in the spare time department.

I hope there will be some links to work completed here though!

Newly discovered (for me): The Network (Money Money 2020) -wow. What a fantastic little retro newwave Devo type Gary Numan stuff this is. Great find. Rumoured that Green Day is actually the nucleus, and after listening, I'm certain it is. Possibly a member of Devo involved as well, but that's not so...

Hey thanks everyone! I've obtained a trial copy of Adobe Premiere, tried to use it, but found that the resulting "monitor" is so slow and choppy that I can't edit to word specific cuts for singing. Would this be a function of having an onboard stock video card, and if so, can anyone recommend a bett...

Video Editing Software and PC Video Cards

So I've got a camera that records movies. I'm thinking~ HEY! Let's make music videos. But this isn't as simple as one might expect. I'd like to know if any of you do this, and what software you use to do it with. Also include, if you know, any tips or tricks you may have picked up. I'm equipped with...

it's too bad though that the depression card is played so much. I think some people are just lazy or afraid, or most likely both, and the "I suffer from depression" crutch becomes easy to lean on. It quickly generates empathy for them in some circles, buys them time to deal with the stress (ors) the...

Definitely in my top 3 albums of the year.

I was really blown away by this, I'm not a Green Day fan at all. That said, this album has some kikass songwriting, and fantastic production.

Highly recommended.

Simply: It's a tool. Do with it what you will. If I could figure out how to make it work and sound "good", I'd use it. Same goes for anything I do. I don't really see a large difference, (working from the targeted end result of wanting a recording to sound right), between re-doing a vocal take to be...

Just got back. Definitely cinema if you can. I'm a sucker for big screen and loud surround sound, so my money is always on the theatre experience. Though, by yourself on a rainy afternoon would be good for the DVD experience.... And for my opinion, I thought it was great. Lots of scares and creeped ...

heh. That's where I read about it. Had a bitch of a time finding a sample anywhere that worked, but finally heard some, pretty good stuff. A little heavy on the death-metal screaming, but musical. Well played enough that I bought it. Should be here soon, coming from Engerland...

have ordered an album by a heavier band called Johnny Truant...wonder what the connection is...

And, thinking it's pretty cool that the book ends on Hallowe'en, and if I finish my other book on time, that's about when I'm gonna start this book.

I am psyched.

Is there a time-line PinV? ... Kurt Vonnegut rules. Although I'd be hard pressed to call him classic. I'm the last person to ask that question, but I'd agree with CR, they should at least be dead. It's funny with KV, because his paperback stuff, at least in Canada, is packaged like classic paperbac...

15-16, is that your litmus test which qualifies any potential change in your world? Only if the change in question fixes something? How exceptionally status quo.... where is your sense of adventure? :) I think the case for fostering more collab's with a bit more time is a great one. This in no way i...
