What to do with SongFight.NET

Links and other hanky panky that doesn't have to do with anything in particular.

On the wiki you can put:

1. Recording advice (organized by instrument, device, technique, etc)
2. Personal Bios of songfighters
3. History of songfight stuff (songfight lives, whatever)
4. How to songfight
5. Song diaries ("How I made my Maki") probably organized under your songfighter entry.
6. Amalgamations of songfight reviews for songs? Maybe?

Stuff like that. It's a wiki, so whatever you think is appropriate probably is appropriate. It's a place to store information about songfight, songfighters, songfighting, songs, home recording, mixing, instruments, songwriting, monitors, DAW software, DAW hardware, etc etc etc.

THere is some stuff already there-- poke around.

Hey - I'm working on a little Wiki project now. I figure I'll pool together all the good advice I've gotten since I joined SF, with sound examples and stuff. I added a little obnoxious link at the bottom of THIS PAGE. I hope it's not in a bad spot.

PS - Am I allowed to link back to SF music archive files, or not?

Is there some easy way to slurp the SF bios and whatnot from that other wiki, whereever it was?

Probably not. Wikis haven't been so good about coming up with interoperable wiki markups, and since I don't think pbwiki is using the same wiki software as the SF! Wiki, it's probably not trivial to even copy/paste the data in, let alone do some kind of export/import.

PBWiki's markup is more or less the same as MediaWiki, at least for the basics, and just copying the WikiMarkup source over should be fine.
